    Emini trading increment

you are saying the average again on this thread.... so I'll repost my comment on this thread That's your firm's #'s. Don't know if they are telling you the truth and how much of the pit % they are backing (maybe for them it is true but they back a small %) When I was on the CBOT I saw an...

    Emini trading increment

There were more complaints from some of the major funds as they could no longer get size down easily in stocks when we went to penny spreads in stocks. The size soon was constantly showing 1x1 on the inside with everybody penning each other. It made the Manning rule obsolete...

Say No To Thin E-mini Spread

That's your firm's #'s. Don't know if they are telling you the truth and how much of the pit % they are backing (maybe for them it is true but they back a small %) When I was on the CBOT I saw an incredible turnover in the short time I was there. The Co-Owner of Lynx used to be in the...

Say No To Thin E-mini Spread

One problem is futures lead stocks due to arbitrage You can't front run a large stock purchase with a stock purchase but you can buy futures beforehand..... Let's not make the futures less volatile...not the best idea for traders.

Say No To Thin E-mini Spread

Why not the opposite? Let's raise the minimum spread to .35-.50 A lot of traders who trade the e-mini are daytraders Not long term investors. They don't do market orders of buying the ask and selling the bid. Daytraders need volatility to profit. It's 50 times easier to trade stocks...

Say No To Thin E-mini Spread

Yeah but that's about 10% of them. The turnover with pit traders is the same as other trading areas. Just the top survive. Guess where a lot of liquidity /money comes from. ? If you think 90% of pit traders make that much, Than why aren't you doing it too?

    Audit Possibility

A JOURNAL is incredible protection. Seperate office for trading? Expenses with reciepts to prove them? Were you active or passive in trading? These are a few things IRS looks at. Robert

    Deducting Trading Expenses

Most of the Pro firms are set up this way already. Some will let you hand them reciepts for the year and deduct this from your account so your expenses are spent pre tax dollars. Robert

    why do we need spreads?

supply and demand If you want to sell it..........your a seller and you can sell it at your price if you can find a buyer Let's say you want to sell it for $100 But nobody feels it is worth that. The highest you can get from a dealer is $75. So either you have to come down in...

    William Oneil - CANSLIM

When I originally started trading I traded a long term breakout system. I took 2000 and had 100% returns each year growing it into about $19,000 within a few years. The system has potential but we need the correct fundamentals. Right now it's about tightening our belts as things...

I doubt that. Especially considering Nicholas Darvas's book about how he made over 2 million. A great economy it's just about figuring out where money is flowing towards and pyramiding your profits. You start off with a small position and add to the winners, stopping out when you've been...

I've stopped posting strategies a lot too. I've realized I'm trying to buy 3000 shares and only 400 are available. Why create competition when there is little benefit? Robert

I'm a Canslim user but the M stands for Market so not right now. We have no underlying fundamental reasons for a strong bull market. Market's move in cycles and we just coming out of a downward cycle, probably a sideways cycle now for the next few years.
