Thanks Robert. Even I thought the same. From my understanding TradeStation and LightSpeed has various types of account but most other brokers just say Margin Account nothing specific to Day Trading. Example - IB Just have Margin, Cash and PM Accounts ETrade has Margin or Cash Acc Options House...

Does any know if we need to have minimum of $25K in account to u sethe 4:1 Day Trade Margin? or even if I have just minimum $2K I can still use 4:1 Margin?

Any one know if it possible to place a limit order to short a stock with IB? Example: If AAPL is trading @112 now, I want to place a order to short 100 shares if the price drops below resistance of $110. If I place a limit oder @110 IB will fill the order @112.

No I tried all settings on the TWS Desktop, it never got resolved. I also contacted IB Customer Service they said it is not at al possible with mobile App. Not sure if I got a bad rep or this is the bad truth.

Does any one has any any feedback on IB news subscription service? Is it worth subscribing? I am expecting to get real-time alert before or just few seconds after the breakout occurs. Every time the price moves and I get to know the news very late.

Most of the stocks I trade don't have options at all or the spread will be too much. Even if they have options , I would be the first one to buy/sell them since all the strikes show a closing Price. Also, the commissions seems to better with stocks with the ability to scale in/out and with rebates.
