= Market on close, do i get the closing print or some other price that the mm likes?
I see often prints way of the current price shortly before the close. Has this something to do with it?
What is your experience with this order kind?
So what is the Fed and JPM now planning to do with BSCs shell ? What did they do in 29?
Or was it only because BSC might have done something stupid with their derivatives position ( like bringing JPM or the whole system down ).
I suppose one more kind of liquidy injection into the dying...
HKD interest rate has a really high vola. In January and February too it dropped more than 50% and went back up again.
Is there an instrument to trade this?
Was just checking interest rates and noticed that HKD dropped from 3 to 0.8 in three weeks at IB.
http://individuals.interactivebrokers.com/en/accounts/fees/monthlyInterestRates.php?ib_entity=llc
Why is that?
The risk of your account is not with IB but with Citibank. There your money is held and gone when C goes bankrupt.
IB is fine and healthy but C is sick.
Thanks
But i meant if other peoples smart routing will find my hidden order, route to island and hit my ask.
If i want to sell and am the best ask but hidden, their smart routing will route to the next best visible ask not necessary on island and miss my offer.
So hidden/iceberg...
Lets asume this.
In premarket i place a hidden sell order at 65.50 on island. Orderbook shows 65.20 / 65.90. My order is invisible.
Will smart routing find my order now?
Or could it be that the market moves to 70 without me getting filled if no one uses island for routing?
Ok lets do it a little more complicated.
What about an iceberg order where only a part of the order is displayed?

i want to buy 5000, display 200 and am the first in line.
Is the 4800 hidden part...
Yes, he just goes for the profitable part of the business.
So no help from buffett rescuing the capitalist system that lets him being wealthy.
The superrich are our last chance otherwise the biggest banks might go bankrupt.
Does anyone know how threatening the subprime losses for UBS...
Turn a 50 year Dow weekly chart upside down. Then you will see that markets are only partly -not profitable- tradeable.
Some stockmarket question to answer:
Why are crashes always down and fast?
Why is vola rising when market drops?
Why is there a crash after market went too high( 29...
Generate a random chart with more than 100000 bars and you wont find a systematic or discretionary way that makes money. Its not possible.
Only nonrandom movement can be exploited.
Marketmaking is something else and works best in a highly random market bc as you said it is and stays...
You actually take random trades even though you think you dont. When you trade a specific setup /chartpattern/situation and your chosen market is highly random, then you still wont win or make the same as if you just flipped a coin.
Just my experience after some years of real trading and backtesting.:D
You make most money were the randomlevel is the smallest. When it is at 100%, making money becomes 100% luck were the more bets you make, the more unlikely it gets to make it.
Especially Daytraders need to know what...
Randomness of different markets:
Forex, intra 97%, daily 85%, weekly 75%
Bund, intra 97%, daily 90%, weekly 80%
US stocks, intra 92%, daily 80%, weekly 70%
EU stocks, intra 95%, daily 85%, weekly 75%
Commodities, intra 95%, daily 90%, weekly 85%
Is there a liquid way to trade grainsspreads in one go so to not pay bid-ask spread and commissions twice.
Also one needs to be 10 times bigger as spreads are mostly hedged.
If there is such a thing it needs to be big to get decent bang for the buck and keep commis low.
Hi H20
Is that true?
I was just about to leave germany end of year to move over, because in germany you get taxed for sure.
I am fulltime trader so no other income but i spent little time trading because i do swingtrading not daytrading.
So in other words i am unemployed and have some...
moo,
just wait for the market to open for all or for some derivatives inventions from chinese banks for non-chinese traders. Daytrading is not allowed anyway.
Until then this is all there is:

Hi
I am also trying for years now to get into the chinese stock market but it is still not allowed for foreigners to trade there. Daytrading seems to be forbidden to.
Even handicaped by this they are already second largest market by volume.
I think this "foreigner-exclusion" is because...
