    Corn Crash!

Hey simpleton, have you had the patience to ride it from $7.00 to $6.00? Just curious... nice call on this big correction, regardless.

    Nikkei 225 New Bull Market

Their inflation is relatively low is because their economy overall is in the shitter and will be there for the foreseeable future. Speaking of inflation - out of the last 6 Tokyo Core CPY y/y inflation numbers 4 came in as surprise to the upside, 1 to downside and 1 as expected. The June figure...

Huh? S&P has been below 1552 since last October.

    Nikkei 225 New Bull Market

I really don't see why Japanese equity markets are any more attractive than domestic - might as well go long on S&P 500 if you believe recovery is imminent.

    Corn Crash!

How much of the corn rally in recent months would you attribute to the Midwest flooding, ethanol demand increase (which is clearly correlated to oil prices), and just general food price inflation, respectively? In my mind, the idea of ethanol as alternative fuel is pretty retarded and is not...

And one other thing - this is from USDA's 7/1 Weekly Weather and Crop Bulletin: Looks like supply shortages have been largely overestimated.

    Question about mini soybean

Not sure what you mean here - a $14K acct is more than sufficient to trade mini soybeans. A $0.20 move is $200 which is about 1.5% of acct value - what's the problem?

    Corn Crash!

Ok, what exactly happened in the last couple of minutes of the open auction session - just a short squeeze? Lesson learned - never short in the last half hour of the session.

    Corn Crash!

I'm surprised CBOT's margins for corn are the lowest of all ag futures, given this much volatility. Just a matter of time before they catch on.

    Corn Crash!

That's because bear rallies are usually short and brutal, especially to correct the uptrend.

    Corn Crash!

"Crashes" is not the word I would use to describe a possible correction, especially after seeing today's USDA crop progress report.

    Corn Crash!

While corn has certainly corrected in the wake of the acreage report, soybeans is holding up pretty well. What do you make of that?

    Corn Crash!

Corn is just barely above mid-June highs now, soybeans is pretty close to making a similar double top. All these look quite bubblish, despite extensive field damage in Midwest. 25% gain in a month? Are we to believe a quarter of world's corn supply is gone, based on this trend? Give me a break...

Why is it so cool to bash Interactive Brokers?

The worst customer service of any business I've dealt with - smug, insulting, incompetent, sometimes all of the above. Try getting online support during Asian hours - those guys are the best at blowing you off.

Thinkorswim's FX spreads and swap rates

I know they don't charge commissions for FX, but what about bid/ask spreads and swap rates (interest rate spread credit/debit)? Can't find anything regarding those on the site. Thanks.
