Talking about doing whatever, i wreaked havoc on my demo accounts with roboforex, fxview and fxpro. Never saw the same profits ever since I went live!

I dig forex trading currencies so much simpler. I am still new in the markets and planning on going slower. That’s why I am using also MT4 to begin with, using them on fxpro and fxview. Haven’t tried a lot many platforms but heard of MT4’s easier interface and I am finding that to be true.

Do you mean a demo account?

There are many brokers nowadays which provide free demo trading accounts like Fxview, IG, Tradestation etc. I don’t think so demo trading is an utter useless waste of time because confidence is very important in trading along with emotional control. No matter how many books a newbie reads...

To be honest bitcoin has been catching my fancy of late, with its value creating such a buzz, but I see you have put it in your last preference list. Do you think it’s gonna crash anytime soon?

I have been trading intraday mostly, using 4 hour USDGBP trading strategy. I have barely been able to make more than a few cents which is very discouraging and keeps derailing me from moving on with bigger amounts.

For long term savings I have invested in ETFs, that’s what I was saying. I definitely don’t intend to use my savings chunk while I am still learning more about this segment of the market.

I actually want to keep it simple for now, I have no intentions of winning the market. Simply want to make some money off my savings PS I already have some safe options locked in, sparing some extra dough for trading.

I have used it somewhat because I suppose it works well for less complex stuff, and perhaps that’s the reason why most pro traders don’t use it. I would surely want to scale up, even if it would require taking up some programming courses.

I am actually leaning towards this thought.

Thanks for all the reference stuff to learn from. I would also wanna know just one more thing - is mt4 alright for backtesting (what I’m using now) or something like tradingview would be a better option. I want to backtest to as far as 10 years old market data.

I understand that it’s a zero sum market where not everybody can win. But many like me try to be on the winning side and are ready to put in the required effort to learn all the ropes.

Do you suggest for the beginning years at least, to diversify in different markets or learn all about one market or even just 1 currency pair? Thanks in advance.

Haven’t I thought about that? To not trade? But I’m ready to press on!

I am an occasional trader, not trading regularly so I am not sure about any specific strategy. If I have to explain my outcomes - more of neutral and little margins when trading with MT4. By when should I expect to see my account booming to triple digits? Need to hear your tried and tested...
