:-) - I would overwrite the dde links with values , and then point them to the required dde links when the workbook is fully open ... as initailly the dde links will return n/a#.... I have this with quite a few of my applications that trigger on 'Calculation' events.

- u have a date as a value or a text as a value, error 13 is as it says a variable mismatch, trying to act on a 'value' from a cell when its a dde text/date perhaps..use the immediate window to watch the variable values in the VBE as u f8 debug it... using Resume next / on error goto 0 .. just...

I'm guessing u have recorded some sort of macro right ?... show the code and all will become apparent

some advice, don't do it ... stay with what your good at. - moving from being a wel l numerated IT developer into a supposed professional gambler. You don't need a brain to press BUY or SELL, but a whole range of personal, non-logical skills.
