    Pair Trading Mean Divergence (breakout?)

this picture shows BAC/XLF with similar performance last week, and then you see the spread start to widen on the 12th. I'd like to know if there is a spread I can create that benefits from that spread widening, without a directional bias on whether BAC will outperform or underperform.

    Pair Trading Mean Divergence (breakout?)

Hello, from what I have read most pair trading is betting on reversion to mean with a longshort position. I'd like to ask, can you bet on divergence from the mean without having a directional bias? In other words, you don't know which instrument will outperform/underperform. In options...

    Intraday Pair Trading

Are there any prop firms besides Bright that allow/focus on intraday pairs? Apparently the only way to do this is with leverage, for substantial gain (or loss), anyway.

IWM-SPY was a good trade, spread really started to narrow around 1:30.

    Intraday Pair Trading

Hi guys, feedback on intraday pair trading ETFs? On an intraday basis do pairs get out of wack enough to profit when they rebalance? For example, SPY/SH, or even SPY/QQQQ/DIA. Is it better to do it overnight? Charts say its feasible, would like to hear from someone doing it/tried it...

What's up ET :) Today's a pivot point for me, my main squeeze is moving to Europe  So, I'm putting chicks on the backburner now, and focusing on school the rest of the semester :D The real reason for the update though is that EUR/USD touched the December 08 high. I've read that...

Well I missed that move. Next target is 1.461, and bracket around it as support/resistance; long breakout higher, or fade it as triple top. Going to get a redbull, hope I don't miss this one too lol. If EUR comes back to 1.457, same thing, support bounce and then get long...under 1.457...

Well, now EUR has started to move higher out of the wedge and I didn't have my bracket in place. So, hoping she comes back into the wedge from 1.4589 (10:05 bar), otherwise my play will change.

What happens to a market when everyone is long?

I saved this from a website in 2006, funny: Old Hong Kong sardine dodge. (During a famine in China, a Hong Kong merchant sold a sardine can filled with mud to another merchant, who sold it at a profit to a third merchant who sold it at a profit to a fourth. When merchant No. 5 discovered the...

Just wondering, have you looked at market movement on 9/11 from 2001-now to form your opinion? Or 9/11/09 specific significance?

It does average up/down, he said that already. It never realizes the loss; profit depends on oscillation before expiry.

IMO, if you want to get long look for 1041 to hold with 1.458 EUR/USD bounce. If 1.458 EUR doesn't hold you could probably catch a quick short, but she's been catching support all...year? Would be nice to see that change eventually lol. ***BTW, EUR/USD coming close to DECEMBER and then...
