Can anyone suggest me the web site where one can access free real time tick-by-tick live charts for major European stock market indices like FTSE100, CAC or DAX. For US markets, I get for DJI, COMP, SP500, etc through www.quote.com. I am looking similar for European market. Thanks.

I only use mental stops. Entered stop orders are not my style as i prefer the specialist not to see where i place my stops. Well, IB's TWS has display size (reserved order) option so a specialist won't be able to see your total order.

if u r such a big trader who generates $10000/mo in commission, you must know how to minimize your loss by simultaneously placing stops and you dont trade big amount during nonmarket hour. I agree with the weakness in IB's customer support department, but hope it will do better in the days...

i don't recommend more than 1 emini sp500 contract for new trader.

There is no doubt about the technical performace of the realtick. But the competitive advantage of realtick brokers is dismal in terms of commission. This fee n that fee will consume all ur profit if u have any. I guess there r so many fees associated with realtick-- software fee, base...

autotrader, When you develop future versions of autotrader, would it be possible to include the market depth in it? Just an idea, but may be lot of work for you.

Thanks a lot for your generous program. Finally I figured out how to install the autotrader in TWS. What I did was I saved the downloaded file in my desired location, and clicked on the open folder after the download is complete, then double click on autotrader. That opened the autotrader. But...

u have done so much research on IB's TWS, actually IB should hire you officially. I also tried to install the autotrader but seems to not working somehow. Probably needs some programming which I am not good for that. It would be good, if there r some step by step procedure where i can just go on...

yes it is working. but there is no trailing stops for emini futures.

I tried to use autotrader's program in demo, but it did not work. May be it is not so direct. Moreover, I am bit concerned about authenticity of outsider's program. I'm not sure if it results some other problems. Thanks def for the info.

when there is competition among brokers, it is in the advantage of consumers like us....IB's fee is still lower than tradestation, but IB need to incorporate trailing stops in emini, and we want dynamic charting in its TWS

IB's TWS is good for order entry.

Because it is very illiquid, it is a mere manipulating tool during before hour and after hour the market. When Dow future is red or green during offmarket hour, other indices also follow it. I guess it is made iliquird for purpose by big bros......2cents:p

beta verson has removed the trailing stop feature (see footnote on the beta release as it says it has been phased...). Even Datek has now trailing stop, why is IB lagging to add to its TWS?
