Who gives a crap what Baron makes from Elite Trader? If he's breaking even, he's a nice guy for keeping the site up. If he's making a ton of money from the site, then he's a very shrewd and nice guy.

You didn't give any parameters for the type of news you play, aside from guessing, hoping it works, and getting out too soon on the ones that do work.

Congrats that you're able to trade successfully off of news. Can you share your methods of picking which news to trade off of, and do you trade in the direction of the news, or do you fade it?

You don't need a whole screen to keep track of a few stock prices, lol.

It's important to know the major weightings in the indexes because certain stocks' movements can affect the index, and actually lead the futures, like MSFT & GE.

True locals in the pit are only trading their own accounts, like us. Also, most newbies would want to start trading E-minis, which are traded electronically. It also helps to have a live squawk box to the pit to hear who's playing.
