JFW.... entry charts are ES=400 tick and NQ/YM=250 tick. The longer setup charts are ES=800 tick and NQ/YM=500... Nothing magic, I think anything can be used that matches your trading process and what you are comfortable with. How do you include the question in your responses... ie...

Sorry for the confusion... the moving average had nothing to do with the setup or entry. in the future, i will try to remember to take the moving average off of my charts as it is not used for setup or entry. :) If you look at price action just prior to the 630 open, price hit lows...

JFW.... The moving average is a 100 EMA. I only use it to help keep me out of trouble. It is not used for setup or entry. Sometimes, I lose concentration and just need a crutch to keep me from doing something stupid, like trading long in a strong downtrend. The entry for YM just happened...

JFW... The bars are heiken-ashi with a modification of mine... The blue and yellow part tell me that the bar is wider than my initial stoploss and helps keep me out of areas with lots of wide bars/volatility that may lead to price hitting my initial stoploss... As far as 400 tick vs...

1 trade this am... NQ short 647 at 1929.75... still in the trade so far... but this is one of those slow down days on low trading volume where the big guys can run price up in a flash to take out all the shorts... good luck on your trades Toucan

Floyd... for NQ, I use stoploss of 4 full points, first target of 4 full points and trailing stop of 8 full points.. Toucan

Mccullek... I use 2 contracts when trading ES, NQ and YM... I use a similar process for target and stop... for example.. for ES, I use 2 contracts, stoploss is 2 full points (8 ticks), first target is 2 full points (8 ticks) and after first target is hit, I use a trailing stop of 4 full...

i use tradestation charting and it has 2 symbols .... one for advancing issues and one for declining issues... that is what is shown on my chart... toucan

i put mine in a separate candlestick chart that shows both adv and decl.... can't seem to figure out how to attach using the attach at the bottom or I would show you mine.. toucan
