Price is essential but I wouldn't exclude TA at all. Much of TA is based on price, just know that your indicators and other tools will be wrong in certain instances. There's no magic bullet out there; just use all the tools that you feel are helpful in achieving your goals.

Obviously, no real indicator says buy here and sell there. TA is a tool but you need skills to go along with such a tool. Trading takes hard work to master; this isn't an easy profession but I have to say it's better than most.

Good for you, bud. I wished I would've started trading at your age. The best thing you got going for you is time; lots of it. Don't rush by burning your bankroll, unless you're consistently making money. Use this time to read and study AND most importantly start developing your trading strategy...

From what I remember from a commercial, maybe etrade has access to world markets, though that's a big step down from IB.

You can still go to fulltiltpoker.co.uk and logon through their system if you have the software, but US players can't play real money games. They say US players' money is safe, but who knows when they'll get it back. You can play the free card games, though.

Think or swim--you can get their charting for free, but for real time quotes you need a funded account.
