Yes, can you please elaborate on why you find stocks easier then futures ??

I'd like to know what in particular makes stocks easier to trade then stock index futures for example. Why is it easier to make 3-5 K per day having 100K of buying power available (at prop firm) rather then trading your own 10K retail account from home.

I have a question. What is easier to daytrade futures or equities ? Where there's a bigger edge for a scalper these days ? Is there more people making a good living scalping ES or rather trading stocks at prop firms using big leverage ?

Yes it was and apart from GHCO I don't think there's any other firm in US with similar business model TradeGroup had

Backtesting programs can account for slippage and commisions, so what difference it makes for them. My strategy can use market orders only and it won't affect the performance at all

What does it take to get into places like JED ? If all you have is backtesting results for your system, will they give you a shot ??

I don't think there's any money to be made for a point and click trader doing arbitrage or spreading these days. Those opportunities are exploited by computerized systems. As for places you've mentioned; none of those would consider taking on somebody with no track record. I developed...

I'm talking about places that hire futures scalpers. Besides GHCO I don't know about any other place where this is happening these days. Maybe if you have extensive track record some other shops would take you but if you do why would you bother trading prop ? You'd just trade your own money

Of course if you're in the position for 30 sec backtest will not work. My system is designed to catch intraday swings. It makes 6 points (2 lots ES) per day on the average usually on 4-5 trades. Max drawdown - about 3K. Since only market orders are used I really don't know how real life results...

Mechanical systems don't fail in real life trading, traders fail as they try to pick and choose signals instead of taking every single trade .

What's the point of testing it with live orders ? Back testing programs can account for slippage. It's not a high frequency system so impact slippage is negligable

Are there any prop firms out there that hire algo traders based on back testing results of mechanical systems they want to trade ?

Does anyone know some prop firms in Chicago that operate like GHCO (taking bunch of people every month or two, putting them on the sim for a few weeks with a hope that few of them will make it in the live market) ? Thanks
