    eSignal users - CCU

I'm showing very similar charts assuming you use a Time Template to restrict the hours of the intraday chart to 6:00 - 13:00 (PT). The Open, High and Lows are all identical, but the closes are sometimes off by a penny. I'm guessing you're questioning that aspect of the chart, and I can say that...

    Exporting excel from esignal

To my knowledge, the easiest way to obtain the "Trades at Ask" and "Trades at Bid" is to export the whole data set using the Tick Downloader (Tools --> Tick Replay --> Tick Downloader), and then run some kind of VBA script on the data set to parse out the trades that were filled at the last best...

    Esignal problems !!!!

spike500, As part of the Customer Service management staff, I can say that we take client feedback quite seriously. In fact the mgmt team takes it upon themselves to personally respond to every feedback survey where additional comments are sent. In addition, we have an email address that is...

Esignal Back fill in excel ?

The DDE feature in eSignal does not support backfill, however the next step up in our API ladder is the Desktop API. This API uses ActiveX to interface with eSignal, and does include the capability of accessing historical back-fill data. For more information, please visit this page.

    Did they change Esignal?

I'm checking to see if we can get a patch out to fix a few of those issues with the spread engine. I'll post back on that when I hear word. Just a matter of correction, the actual EDL (eSignal Development List) number for this bug is 17978. The good news is that this bug has already been...

    Did they change Esignal?

Peter et al., the next version of eSignal is tentatively due out near the end of December (ver. eSignal 8.0). Typically, we release a public beta prior to going gold, and we'll do so on our eSignal Beta Testing forum. Thanks Sanjuro for posting your comments.

    Did they change Esignal?

The issue that the original poster mentioned is certainly not a data delay, but it is a bug in the "spread engine". The spread engine is a term we use to describe the group of processes that handle the new formula interpretation released recently. Simply stated, bugs do happen in software...

    Nasdaq Totalview, opinions wanted

Marc, We seem to be displaying all the BRUT data that NASDAQ is sending. Below is a screenshot of TotalView with all the MM's filtered out except BRUT. I suspect that there is either an issue with the version of eSignal Pro you are running or a server related issue. Either way we'd...

    Esignal or Realtick

bpatrick, I can say that in the last few months the interest in our Desktop API has increased fairly dramatically, and as such the number of support inquiries we are recieving on that API has risen as well. In response to that, we have created the "Developer Support Group" and hired...

    Esignal or Realtick

Best to sign-up for a trial for each service and compare the two for yourself. There are many factors that affect not only performance, but ones experience and opinion. eSignal has a 30-day risk-free trial available. If you'd like more information on this, please visit...

eSignal Scrolling to an older date

That would indeed be a great feature to add. I'll submit that to our development team to look at for a future enhancement.

eSignal Scrolling to an older date

It isn't required, but can help. The reason for this is that most of the default Time Templates are in Dynamic Mode. This mode means that eSignal will make a request to the server for historical data as the user scrolls back. Stepping back for a second -- a Time Template controls two things...

eSignal Scrolling to an older date

Ctrl + Left-arrow is, as 50 cent mentioned, the speediest way to scroll back. For even more information on Time Templates, feel free to explore these resources. Video Tutorial KnowledgeBase Article

Inside the DataManager, under Data --> Time, you can uncheck "Synchronize Computer Clock" if you wish eSignal not to synch up your system clock with our servers.

I ran a search on Google, and found this article, which will likely give you some information to go with.

    Esignal problems !!!!

This may be the result of a server clock issue on our side as the Data Manager will synchronize your system clock to our servers (default setting.) If you could Private Message or email me your eSignal Username, I can track what server(s) you are on to narrow this down further.
