This is the same old incorrect song. What you call bells and whistles have no effect on the market data distribution and the speed of order routing, which is a lot more dependent on the back-end software than the TWS.

IB can route your orders using its Smart technology, or let you route them to the exchange of your choice. I would suggest you use the Smart routing both because you will receive better fills (pre-open or during RTH) and also because the commissions are much lower. IB does provide both the...

The principle is the same as that of NYSE TICK.

I think if you used IB Smart you would be happy. Before the open IB sends your order to an exchange. If another exchange opens sooner, we will not let your order sit at the original destination for longer than 10 seconds. We will re-route it to the already opened exchange instead.
