    3:45 margin cut-off . . no longer?

It was done because our clients asked for it. It was supposed to be mentioned in the communique, but we might have forgotten to do that.

Is FIX the way to go for automated trading with IB?

IB has a solution for the traders who want to trade using FIX: trade through the IBgateway. It allows you to submit orders in FIX and retrieve market data through the IB-API (thus hiding the compression/decompression that takes place between the IBgateway and our servers).

    ## Canadian Stocks Markets ? Stay Away from IB ##

We have the code already written, but we need to get new communication lines and gear into place. As a result, we are expecting to start production testing on April 10. Our order routing is unaffected by the latency. (BTW, writing in capitals is considered yelling. Since I don't know whether...

    ## Canadian Stocks Markets ? Stay Away from IB ##

Samaritan stated that we are building a new market-data interface. It takes time to complete that work. Thanks for your understanding.

    No problem, thanks.

Pre-routing to major exchanges at 9:27 AM

I think this is misleading. See what other posters say about IB allowing the user to set a flag which will cause the Smart router to re-route to NYSE at 9:27.

Unfair Timber Hill charge for IB-unbundled pricing

IB does not take the other side, it is one of the liquidity providers (either TMBR or one in the IDEAL pool). The fact that the probability is 1.0 does not mean that they take all orders; the probability is conditional on the order being executable against them. TMBR is available to non-IB...

Unfair Timber Hill charge for IB-unbundled pricing

No, it does not, but it does not for TMBR and IDEAL either - i.e. it treats external and internal venues consistently.

Unfair Timber Hill charge for IB-unbundled pricing

First a few facts: 1) The website does not clearly explain the different charges. A more precise version would say: - TMBR or IDEAL AutoEx ... - NYSE Direct at NBBO (i.e. electronic NYSE execution) 0.001 - NYSE non Direct at NBBO (i.e. manual execution) 0.002 2) The charges are...

What changes did you have to make to the futures? It was not related to our latest addition through which we started offering the daily bars for the sake of yearly charts, was it? Thanks very much.

    IB backfill

Mokwit, I am very disappointed by your post. You know that we have been working hard together with you and the third party app. providers to figure out the cause. Without going into too much detail, the issue is related to the fact that we are rolling out an upgrade that will allow the system...

    Disputing an IB trade

I am not aware of any obscure bugs, but would very appreciate specifics so that if they exist, we can fix them. (Unfortunately I can't work with what you posted earlier). Thanks.

Does IB take responsibility? An amazing story

Option_Trader: It seems to me that your posts at this point are only aimed at keeping the thread alive. I have suggested to you that if you have a complain, there are legitimate ways for you to contact IB about it. You may or may not have done that - I don't know. One thing I do know though...

    IB extra zeros

I agree it is a pain. When you create the order by clicking on the displayed mkt bid or mkt ask, move your cursor into the limit price field and do a left click. A price wand will be displayed as a result, which while it displays 4 digits, it has the different prices populated with the...

    IB extra zeros

ISLAND indeed went 4 decimals on all the stocks effective today. As a result, IB now shows 4 decimals as well, even though it makes no sense for stocks priced higher than 1 USD. We will undo the change for tomorrow. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Assuming that you are referring to the SGXNK@SGX futures options: IA is failing because we do not provide the JPY yield curve. We are working on providing it.
