852.50 late friday I remember now ... seemed to be same area last week sunday I sold my e mini dow futures for a slight loss then the dow turned around and rallied to 8750 with out me I am a scalper more than a swing trader though

I will investigate the eurostox , dax , and ftse this month for trading opps. while continuing to use the mini dows nas and sp I sometimes find myself scalping USD / EUR ... tight spread on globex .... but FX is another animal ... different ballgame

to answer ... it means that you only have 3 day trades a week as per the SEC PDT rules ... you need to fund your account with more than 25 K to overcome this. good luck and hope you find yourself able to use IB in all its glory sometime ... there is alot about it that makes it great...

The YJ and YM contracts in the last few weeks the liquidity is not there yet , especially in the YJ but what I sometimes do if I do not like the way my position is going ... is to hedge by reversing in the other contract and then unwinding as it goes my way ... this is perhaps not...

but sheesh ... if the nasdaq / sox / ndx continue to stay weak who knows ... maybe the puts holders will all cover someday next week :eek:

It depends on if I go long or short having one of those weeks I go short ... it rallies ... I go long ... it dumps ... lost 1/2 of my profits from last week :mad:

TICK ... instead ... when it goes to extremes intraday I look to fade the move ... all things being equal .. its not the holy grail but a good indicator to watch

I did not expect the 8500 level to be broken so easily ! guess thats why I lost money today 20 -25 % of my last weeks profits ... will now try to only make winning trades until friday :cool:
