Would you give up a steady job to Trade?

I would even say that trading is easy! Surely easier than most other jobs. If you're successful in trading - trading should be fun and easy, sometimes challenging of course, but never dreadful, painful and NOT not worth it. If you're good at trading - it should come easy to you, with...

Scalping: Is this consider a qualilty method of trading?

I'm giving an estimate from my experience and knowledge of the industry. I base it on prop traders though - as those are primarily who I deal with. That is why I posted that it depends on the method, system (software/execution/technology end). It does not have a large bearing on...

Scalping: Is this consider a qualilty method of trading?

Well over 100k. But that is my take on the market - You need to have good experience, good method and a good system and good commissions. (I'm assuming that this is the case). Good Luck (A.T)

Would you give up a steady job to Trade?

Go with your gut- If you feel you can make money in the markets - go for it. If you hesitant, susceptible to regrets - don't. Good prop traders make very good money. 1 in 20 is good.

    Question top 10%

The point is: it DEPENDS. I like to think that top traders have consistency. How much do they make? I believe it is over quarter of a million a year. That is from my experience.

    What's your market metaphor?

Imagine a pasture. Quiet, birds are chirping, sun is rising. Then hell breaks loose. Naked guys run out into the pasture trying to sodomize each other. The harder the better. There is one catch tho: The longer you aim, the longer you expose yourself. Then the closing bell rings.

So you are buying around 40 cent stocks. Your criteria is <50c or between, lets say 25 and 75c? Do you bother with 1 cent stocks? Do you pick all stocks on all exchanges (Nas, OTCBB, .PKs?)

How much commission are you paying for this????? If a stock costs a penny, and you pay a penny per share u are automatically doubling the price. And since ur buying only 100 shares, flat rates (like 8 bucks) are also crazy??
