I think a QQQQ July 45.00 option straddle would be better since they are so much cheaper than AAPL options, only $0.95:

If Yahoo data is correct AAPL makes up 15% of the QQQQ:

Are you sure about BP? I thought it was only for QQQQ, DIA, SPY and maybe a couple of other ETF's.
I think it's great for buyers who like cheap option's for a 1 or 2 day trade just before expiration. The QQQQ options should be a hot seller.
I have an IB account and when no positions are open I have an Initial/ Maintenance Margin of 63.00, which is subtracted from total funds. This has been going on for a few years now but it's driving me nuts trying to figure out a reason for this.
Anyone know what that $63.00 is for...
Some poor sucker will get them mixed up with the regular expiring options and think they expire on the 17th - July as an example - When in fact they might expire a week earlier. I'm sure this will happen a few times with a buyer who thought the options were very cheap.
I would hang in there and don't give up. Wait for the Light at the End of the Tunnel

"Tops are driven by news"
Nope ...... News is driven by tops. The economist's will use the news during tops or bottoms as a reason for that top or bottom. If today is indeed a top and the market tanks then perhaps the reason could be "Oil, fuel prices jump as dollar, temperatures fall".
When the going is good apply for as many credit cards as you can. When the going gets tough write yourself checks and max out your cards and then disappear.
Regardless of increasenow's past ET posting history the $1,000 to $100,000 challenge is something that everyone on ET would like to accomplish, and have thought about. You all know that 3x and 4x gains with options happen regularly and that $100,000 is so close - yet so far. If only you could...
It can be done. Take a look at GOOG, the calls have been an easy 3/4 banger for the last few months. Lets take a look at some 3x trades, plus one last small trade:
1st trade ......... $3000
2nd trade .........$9,000
3rd trade .........$27,000
4th trade .........$81,000
5th trade...
I think GOOG should have bought Red Hat (RHT) instead of producing their own Linux distro. This would show that GOOG is committed to Linux and the hardware and software vendors would be more inclined to support Linux.
MSFT shares would take a huge hit if GOOG did buy RHT.
