This question involves gaussan analysis with the FTT. Spooz-trader1 mentioned that noticing increasing volume following an FTT helped him spot them (sorry I don’t have the direct quote from the journals, I noticed it in Pr0crast’s summary of the first month). In another post Spydertrader...

Spyder, A couple of posts in the futures journal have me confused on a couple of points regarding FTTs. Since I assume most of the people who follow the futures journal have a good handle on the FTT and this information also relates to equities, I decided to post my question here. Let me...

Thanks Spyder, I really need to learn my flaw formations - recognizing them brings alot more clarity to the gaussian analysis. I think I need to be more conscious of spotting a FTT when redrawing my channels. I think in this case, I might have recognized that I had a flaw (instead of a FTT...

Yes, Qcharts has a 65 day avg. volume column. The really nice column though is the unusual volume column which shows you current days volume as a percentage of 65 day avg. Sorting using that column quickly brings to your attention good potential stocks to trade. -A

I do not have SSDX in my Final Universe so I don't know about that one (I have SSRX?). As far as CMED, my low band DU (130,666) triggered at 11:49 AM - long after the 10:30 cut off (or even the DU cutoff). I use Qcharts and maybe we have a difference in data reported. Your channels look...

Hey LittleMac, I would also keep in mind where price is in terms of the longer term channels. It looks to me like, if you do decide to take a short on a R2R BO, you should be wary of the $33 support area created by the dark green Left Trend Line in my attached weekly chart. Personally...

In looking at the chartscript on ASIA, Friday's high should have made for a 20% percent up move over 4 days (started just under $10. and made it close to $12.50). I'm not sure why the chartscript didn't recognize it. Am I missing something? This would have made for the fifth such move...

Once again, many thanks for your well thought out responses, Spyder, and sorry for another lengthy post. Thanks, this correction of my bad assumption clears up a couple of my problems and simplifies my channel drawing. Did you point out the missed Pennant formation to help clarify the...

My questions and observations with this 5 min. chart revolve mainly around timely sell decisions. I’ll start off by noting that psychologically I am more comfortable with getting out of a position too soon and missing further profits, rather than giving a stock more room and having to sell at...

I really only have one question with regard to this 30 min. chart, but I also wanted to include the chart to provide context to the bright green channel that can be seen in the next chart. My question is in regard to drawing channels shortly after a gap day. It seems the larger the gap the...

I had a trade this week that illustrated some questions I’ve had and brought up some new questions. I’m going to split this into three different posts each relating to an attached chart on a different fractal (Day, 30 min., and 5 min.). Hopefully, my posts will turn out intelligible and I...

Thanks for the information. I read through the instructions provided in the ET Code link. My understanding is that you can only include graphics that have a web address. So I can include a chart pulled off wealthlab chartscripts or yahoo as an image in text. However, a chart image I have...

How do I post a chart so that it shows within the text of the post, instead of just as an attachment you click on? I seem to remember directions being posted on this in the earlier journals, but I failed to bookmark it and have been unable to locate it through search. Thanks, -A

I have attached an excel spreadsheet that I've found helpful in my daily trading. It's nothing groundbreaking - I have no coding ability - but I find myself referring to it throughout the day. It includes the functions of the risk calculator Spyder provided in journal 1. Just fill in the...

Hey Spydertrader, Do you accomplish this by using QFAI? If so, how do you open Qcharts integrated w/ MB Trading through QFAI? Are these the only two servers you use? Thanks, -A

Hey Spyder, thanks for the quick response. In regard to moving the chart to the left to create the empty space, do you have to do that every time you bring up a new chart? When I change stocks the chart automatically pops back over to the right edge. So I was wondering if there was a way to...
