The media can spin it however they want, but IMO the market will fall tomorrow, barring an amazing report from the labor department. If the number comes in as expected, I think we'll see some early buying. However, once it resonates, and people start realizing how bad the numbers truly are...

One can only hope. My short position is getting hit today, though improving. Fortunately, the handful of calls I purchased yesterday have kept me in the green. I'll definitely sell the calls, but I haven't yet decided whether I'll cover my short.

A bit early to make such predictions, IMO. Exactly. That's what I wrote in the first post that started this thread.

You may be right. BUT the recent run (including pre-market pricing at 40.2) hardly invalidates the downtrend. Check the daily 3 month graph. Trading well-within the range one would expect. I should mention that I closed my short yesterday at 39.13 and hardly covered the transaction costs.

Make sure you take market conditions into consideration. The bulls appear poised for a run this morning. We'll have to see if that sentiment holds...
