5 Changes I Made That Had A HUGE Impact On My P&L.

This is one of these comments where it all really depends on the situation. First, it depends on what you need to see to enter a trade. Suppose you're a S&R trader, looking at the 5 min chart, and suppose your entry method allows you to buy above a 5 min bar. So now suppose you see the bounce...

I Win 100% Of My Trades- Expectancy.

Perfect... thanks for this. I fully understand your original point, but its just as important to be aware of this metric you just shared as well.

I Win 100% Of My Trades- Expectancy.

Ok.. so since every trade is a winner already, would you mind sharing with us how many of your trades result in money going into your account, and how many trades result in money leaving your account?

What is an EDGE in the strategy?

You can manage risk very well by always having a stop in the market, and never moving it, so that you're always stopped out where you want to be. But trust me, I know, this isn't enough to make money. You also need the right target, and you also need it to hit often enough. :)

Karen the Supertrader - TastyTrade Hybrid Experiment

Of course, 3 weeks before the election, where all hell can break loose, might not be the best time to start. As everyone seems to be cautioning, it sounds like it will only take one day where the market falls, and doesn't recover the next day, in order to kill this. Don't get me wrong Bobby...

    NQ Paper Trade Journal

I quite like this idea. But using stops and targets based on market activity, although sound, will muddy the stats results, no? If he wants to go long for example at 4840 which he thinks is support, but the coin tells him to short, then he might want to play it very tight, and place the stop...

Your thought process going into a trade

I always wonder this part.. which institutions? There was another quote you made where I asked, and you didn't reply, which was the question about how the big guys have already left the market and that it was obvious in the chart you posted. But what you say here again makes me really wonder...

    Buckle up Guys its starting

No worries, and thanks for the explanation. It takes guts to post a prediction here at ET, so I commend you for that.

    Trading analysis (free)

That's interesting actually. I'm suing Sierra Charts and I don't think I have this feature. I would much prefer it not just running forward based on time, but rather to just tell me if it hits stop or target when I give it these two variables, but this would certainly be better than nothing...

    Trading analysis (free)

Not exactly. It gives MAE and MFE only up to the exit point. So yes, it is after entry, but only until exit. I want to know what the numbers would have looked like had I not exited. Great! But sadly, I have no coding skills, so just continue to do this manually.

Didn't mean to sound like I wasn't calm at all.. sorry if you thought this. If anyone reading knows of such a tool, I would love to hear. Its incredibly tedious to manually go through each trade and see how it could have worked out if an exit wasn't where it was. I know that platforms like...

    Trading analysis (free)

For some reason your link doesn't work, but here it is. http://tradinganalyser.com/ Now I'm a little confused about what exactly this does? I was hoping it would do something like analyze your trades based on what would happen if you didn't exit, what would happen under different R:R ratios...

    Questions for experienced ES daytraders?

I think its a good strategy, and insurance companies operate the same way I think! LOL... They cannot pay all those people they insure, but they know that for the most part, having to pay out even 10% of policies in the same year is highly unlikely. Heck.. same thing with banks. They don't...

Sen Warren urges Obama to remove Mary Jo White as SEC chair

Exactly. Gandhi was lucky he was fighting the British. Look at how many people in China just try to publish an article in the paper about some government issue.. to be never heard from again. Well.. the main problem with war is that its often about fighting someone else's war (ie. over oil)...

Sen Warren urges Obama to remove Mary Jo White as SEC chair

I tend to agree. I think that initially, he had big dreams and high hopes, and as the years got on, he saw how little he could do, and eventually gave in to the establishment. One of the things I did not like was a quote maybe a year or so ago where he commented on his own relationship, and...

    Questions for experienced ES daytraders?

Making sense of this given the multiple instruments and scaling in I think almost makes this pointless. But given just one contract lets say, with all in and all out, then MAE and MFE can often show how to extract more money. If you see that your average trade goes against you 4 points, hence...

    Questions for experienced ES daytraders?

Scaling in and all that jazz would certainly distort these percentages, so your explanations and questions make total sense, and as you say, the formula must be very crude. As for the weekends, I assume that Ninja would not count Saturdays and Sundays, but perhaps include those holiday half...

    Questions for experienced ES daytraders?

I find it very interesting that your average win is half your average loss. Most would say that it should be the opposite. Your high win rate certainly is part of the reason why this is a profitable strategy. The figure for "average time in the market" being 2.43 days means you're swing...

    Questions for experienced ES daytraders?

Out of curiosity, why do you say this. Is this something you are saying is apparent on the chart you post?
