What's disappointing is the @#$ cb halt killed volatility and it was a choppy rangebound first hour.... would be great to see some volatility this afternoon

CB halt stopped the selling briefly, bouncing a bit so I'm using tight stops on inverses SQQQ UVXY etc. Bounces in UWT GUSH UGAZ. Choppy af rangebound market after gap down due to halt, maybe volatility picks up in afternoon.

I'm mainly short bias $-wise with inverses, i bought small size this am: bear TVIX UVXY VXX SQQQ bull TQQQ TLRY CGC oil: GUSH UWT DWT i'll add to who goes up and take small stops on those that go down, i hedge/arb

i'm not touching it yet, may enter if it gets back over 300 or bounces off 210-230 range later, it's gap filling now 5:15am

If there's a big premkt gap down in GUSH UWT I'll buy a bit if gaps down start to fill. Or if DWT gaps up and runs I'll buy that. Tip: often I arb opposite etfs, eg buy a little of both UWT & DWT, then scale into whoever goes up.

Absolutely right, up at these levels I'll likely just day trade TVIX 10 shares at a time with tight stops. My faves for swings are currently SQQQ UVXY VXX SOXS DWT, usually start small with $800 max per trade, eg just 20-30 shares of $20-$30/share etfs like these, then martingale in for wins...

Great question, it's more about your net profit per week vs up/down days. If I have 3 down days losing total $1100 but have 2 up days $2k and $800 like I did, I'm still net profitable being wrong more days than right. Or weeks/months for that matter. I've day traded since 1999, main lesson...

Right, VIX broke 50 friday, keeping a close eye on it for UVXY trades, plus TVIX small size daytrading... gotta love this volatility
