What % Of Trading Educators Do You Believe Are Legit?

Right -- the best teacher is sitting in front of charts for years and doing your own testing. Not relying on anyone but yourself.

What % Of Trading Educators Do You Believe Are Legit?

I've tried, it would also help overcome my anxiety about trading large size. But all the AI/programming needed would require too-expensive algo coding, eg brain dump of hundreds of subtle rules. I've looked into it ... charting software companies have asked me for years to create a scanner...

What % Of Trading Educators Do You Believe Are Legit?

Agreed. Many bs educators make phony performance & profitability claims to hawk their stuff -- that's wrong. As are educators who lack extensive real money recent trading experience, claiming to be able to teach traders, when all they do is regurgitate basic chart patterns. Personally, I make...

What % Of Trading Educators Do You Believe Are Legit?

I agree completely. I think most educators don't trade, make phony performance claims, overcharge, are incompetent, have no tax return proof they've ever had a profitable year, and are mainly internet marketers. The SINGLE biggest problem is because they aren't skilled authentic traders...

Daytrading the whole session versus calling it a day after reaching a profit target?

Great points... a very useful idea is to trail stop on open profits, eg if I'm up 800 I stop trading if I get back to up 600. There's Nothing more frustrating than to be up 1k at 10am and get cocky, overtrade marginal setups later and end the day down -$300. I learned that from poker cash...

    Mentors and education

Sure; here's my other one: Www.trademastery.com/flowchart.pdf The only goal number I use is to stop trading if I'm down $500 on a day, I set no profit goal since that would limit my upside. In general though if I'm up $800+ on a day I get much more selective, smaller size to protect profits

Daytrading the whole session versus calling it a day after reaching a profit target?

Lately I've been trading most days all day, with breaks, because of the volatility. Particularly important is midday S&P reversals like we had today. I scaled out of inverses right after 11am UVXY etc because I anticipated it. I'm mostly cash tonight because the Democrats election is a...

What's Your trading "edge"? Favorite strategy or pattern

Great posts, traders! Agree re overbought, oversold are imprecise terms since different definitions. One pattern edge I used to minimize stops today in my UVXY VXX positions successfully is: When a overnight position gaps against you, don't stop out immediately.. what I did was wait, the...

Daytrading the whole session versus calling it a day after reaching a profit target?

hi - orb/open range breakouts i trade are moves up 9:30-10am on strong price action, usually 'out' 2day high or small gap up continuations

Daytrading the whole session versus calling it a day after reaching a profit target?

hi - per sec/cftc/ftc compliance regs i do not make any performance nor profitability claims of any kind; i simply publish my lessons learned, and examples of some of my wins vs stops. I believe most performance/track record claims by educators are total bs (unless supported by tax return...

Mostly small stops today fishing for bounces, only decent win was UGAZ, holding tiny size inverses, DWT GUSH SQQQ etc. Disappointingly choppy flat mkt today after the halt. Tomorrow's another day..

Can one of you metalheads explain why gold hasn't shot through 2000 today?

Can one of you metalheads explain why gold hasn't shot through 2000 today?

Gold's inability to rally likely means + mkt may bounce a bit (note TRIN<1 today = bull bias) + margin call selling + capital outflows to other safe havens like real estate or cash I bought a bit of JDST on gap up today in case it continues up
