NO BS Day Trading (order flow course) - Worthwhile or worthless?

For those of you utilizing the DOM or even consider yourself DOM only traders - do you also use the Time & Sales a lot?

NO BS Day Trading (order flow course) - Worthwhile or worthless?

I really feel like repeating myself here. One order flow educator said that 'The chart trader is not paying attention to the activity and speed of activity and the overall bigger picture (are bids/offers getting 'crushed') or is a specific level holding or not. Or missing out on the ebb and...

Black or white charts? Or something in between? What do you use?

The f.lux software shared by @Sprout seems to be helpful, so I second his recommendation on that one.

Black or white charts? Or something in between? What do you use?

Another factor is that I'm using a lot of spreadsheets and other stuff which is basically white. So, looking at white and black side by side seems to create additional strain. Makes me think it's better to stick with white?

Black or white charts? Or something in between? What do you use?

Interesting. I just downloaded it. What set-up are you using? EDIT: I'm using 'reduce eye strain'. That's basically the only adjustment I've done beyond where I'm located. I hope that's sufficient. Can't say I noticed an immediate difference. Hopefully, it will be helpful. Will be downloading...

Black or white charts? Or something in between? What do you use?

Hi all. I've been experiencing some eye strain lately and feel the need to adress this particular issue. Out of habit, I'm using white charts with candlesticks. I use 2 Samsung screen which have something called Eye Saver mode which I assume basically dials down the light and brightness. It's...

Why market wizards are not day traders?

Respectfully, I don't agree. Could you elaborate? If you have a strategy aiming to capture the daily range or a large part of it - how has that changed...?

Why market wizards are not day traders?

There's plenty of day traders in those books.

Trading and Exchanges by Larry Harris - Any similar books of quality?

I decided to start on Algorithmic Trading & DMA which have been standing on my shelf for a while: Reviews are ranging from poor to great, but the author have a background in the business, so I'm sure it can offer some valuable insights.

    ES vs NQ

Sure, it's a visual comparison, but still illustrative since the price action (swings and turning points) is similar. More precise numbers on that specific day: YM = 161 points = 805 $ NQ = 63 points = 1260 $ ES = 15,25 points = 762,5 $ I have never argued that NQ isn't less volatile, but in...

    ES vs NQ

The three indices on a selected day a few weeks back. I don't see any significant differences. I won't argue anyone else's choice of instrument, but I've seen comments (in other threads) about how superior NQ/YM is to ES and it seems to me to be a bit exaggerated.

Making JH' SCT and all his material alive

That the methodology actually works. Annotating charts and trading them in real time are not the same. That no live demo has been done. Personally, I think it's borderline cruel if someone takes on the role of mentoring people and makes promises of enormous success, yet aren't successful...

NO BS Day Trading (order flow course) - Worthwhile or worthless?

I'm closing in on the end of the course. I'm not sure how much new stuff I will learn by the end of it. What I'm learning is that this (or his) approach is very subjective. You're basically guessing what will happen based on your interpretation of resting limit orders, speed, market orders being...

NO BS Day Trading (order flow course) - Worthwhile or worthless?

I hope you don't consider me an idiot. ;) I think what you're saying is correct - at least if you're a very successful trader. As for John Grady, I don't doubt he's making some kind of money, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't make big money. It seems he's basically scalping for a few ticks here...

NO BS Day Trading (order flow course) - Worthwhile or worthless?

Yes, it seems like it. For some reason, I'm still attracted to the Jigsaw platform and find that SC has a really eighties feel and look to it. That said, there's no way I can justify paying $600 to get a DOM when I already have a lot of overhead and can use the SC DOM for $25 bucks per month...

NO BS Day Trading (order flow course) - Worthwhile or worthless?

I'm wondering if there are any alternatives to Jigsaw's DOM solution? Since I already have a full NT8 license and pay for market data (IQ Feed), I'm not sure I'm interested in paying close to $600 to just get an improved DOM that I might not even find useful in the end. I have a hunch I'd be...

    ES vs NQ

Is it just me or was ES & NQ nearly identical on Friday? ES topped slightly later, but the pullback ended pretty much the exact same time. I think in the past when I did a comparison of these two markets, not extensively mind you, I found that these markets quite often moved fairly similar...

Making JH' SCT and all his material alive

Thank you very much, @WchPl and @Sprout, for your answers and patience. I can't find the time these days to study JC, but I know I will one day in the future when I can find more time. And now I know how to proceed doing so. Best of 'luck' in your trading.
