    Iterative Refinement

Will someone please post today's 2 minute YM chart? I quit paying exchange fees for it but I'm curious to see if it offered Traverse-level change signals at key times. Thanks.

    Iterative Refinement

I just read Spyder's follow-up post -- here are my answers for 10/6/08, 15:50-eod: 15:50 Dominant; BO of LM on IBV, also Pace Acceleration. 15:55 Non-dominant; price moves in dominant direction but on DBV; this is the non-dominant movement that we anticipated after seeing Pace...

I didn't annotate my chart the same way Spydertrader did, but I think I see the logic behind his annotations. My following analysis is based on his annotations: Bar 1 of 10/7/08: Dominant red. This bar represents the P1-2 dominant Tape of a forming down Traverse. It also shows Pace...

If I understand romanus correctly, you don't see where the morning up Traverse is confirmed by more increasing Volume after 10:55 EST BOs the LM on IBV. The way I viewed it, 11:05 EST provides confirmation of the P3 up Traverse. Yes, it's a Spike Bar, but up is already dominant at this point...

Argh! :D Thank you for reminding me why I never posted my "epiphany" last night. I noticed that bar but forgot it today when I saw Spyder's chart.

    Iterative Refinement

Thank you, Spydertrader, for posting your extremely helpful chart today. If I read it correctly, it confirms a possible epiphany I had last night. Which is: When we see Pace Acceleration, we should be anticipating Lateral Movement. Until we see that Lateral Movement, any move in the...

Drill One Edit: ignore the text on the chart. The bar with the arrow is red Dominant.

I notice that the bar before the green FTT also occurs before any Flaw or VE in the green Traverse. Perhaps it, too, is a Flaw. I'll attach an earlier snippet of Spydertrader's chart showing the entire green Traverse. P.S. Romanus, you're quick on the draw -- you posted a perfect example of...

Thanks for the hints. I just noticed that the 11:55 bar occurs before any Flaws or VEs appear in the up Traverse, whereas 12:35 occurs after multiple Flaws and VEs. Perhaps 11:55 is actually a Flaw...

    Iterative Refinement

09-20-08 01:43 PM I attached romanus' chart to this message. To clear up any possible data discrepancies, I'll note that my data shows that both the 11:55 bar and the 12:35 bar close above the highs of the 11:50 bar and the 12:30 bar, respectively. It appears that I used incorrect...

    Iterative Refinement

For a while I thought that Peak Volume could be differentiated from Pace Acceleration by looking at the relative Volume peaks within the current Traverse. I thought that Peak Volume was never the bar with the highest Volume of the current Traverse. This seemed to make sense based on the Jokari...

    Iterative Refinement

Thanks for this info; I wasn't monitoring in real time today. Based on your observations, it makes perfect sense that the 11:55 bar would show increasing volatility, and that the 12:35 bar would show decreasing volatility. It seems that the 11:55 bar was an instance when our 5 minute bars...

    Iterative Refinement

Thanks for the hint. I found a way to annotate such that P3 down is confirmed at 10:50 EST. I originally had a Lateral here but I suspect that the return to dominance at 10:40 allows us to kill that Lateral, meaning that the 10:50 bar no longer requires more IRV to confirm a Lateral BO...

    Iterative Refinement

I don't know if the 11:25 bar close changed when I refreshed, but I now see that it closed on the lower boundary of the Symmetrical Pennant, which means my Point 3 down was never confirmed by more IRV after the Lateral BO. I also notice that what I had as Point 3 up at 12:30 was never confirmed...

    Iterative Refinement

Hi guavaman, I have Point 1 at 11:40 rather than Point 3. I'm annotating the 5 min ES-only fractal. I don't see a confirmed down Traverse until 11:30, with an FTT and JW Traverse-level change signal at 11:35. With Point 1 at 11:40, the 11:55 bar becomes part of the Point 1-2 dominant move up.

David, Keep in mind that Spydertrader has not annotated all of his posted charts at the ES-only fractal.

I felt really in tune with the market today, and fortunately I had the simulator up and running. It was suggested that I post my blotter, so I'll attach it (all times CST, and commissions are included). A few comments: -- My first entry after the lunch break was late because I was trying to...
