    Mid-price for options

Make an international call to... UK, US? Besides that, their TWS just isn't my thing; it takes a manual alone to study all the preferences. I'm fine with TastyWorks; when I screw up it will be my own fault! ;)

    Mid-price for options

In fact I tried to re-open my old account with IB... After two weeks I gave up; no help or replies on emails etc. About SPY or any liquid instrument; I'm not good at trading only one. I've got a few signals programmed in StockFetcher and want to simply begin by buying calls and puts. E.g. I...

    IB TWS Forex commission question...

In his defence: it's IB; they are always overcomplicating things... :-(

    Mid-price for options

Thanks Robert. (... to be fair; I said 50% and not: "all the time") Do most of your clients work with limit prices somewhere half way between bid & ask?

    Mid-price for options

Hi all, I'm new to options and my question is about stockoptions that are thinly traded; the spread is often huge and when I buy from my (European) broker I get filled at the Ask. So basically my postion could be 30-40% down immediately... US based TastyWorks filled me at a mid price, which...

    IB TWS Forex commission question...

Sounds about right, but also check the spread from these brokers! That's often a "hidden cost", but EURUSD shouldn't make a huge difference...

    IB TWS Forex commission question...

You're paying commission twice; to get in and get out. $ 2.00 is your minimum per TRADE. This might help: https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index.php?f=commission&p=fx

Question about lot sizes and account balance

You want to risk $ 60,- on that trade, meaning with a stoploss of 40 pips; you should trade 0,166 lot. That's a little over 1/10th of a whole lot and a very small size...

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

First: up (though climactic) Second: up (but with more two-sided trading)

Why Is The Obvious Not So Obvious?

I think it's time for those "in the know" to start posting charts again! Like the good old times, when it drove me nuts! :banghead:

Extend charts to other monitors on TradingView

Try expanding one window (tab) across two screens. Mine are placed above each other. It works, but it's not stable; often after a little resize or after opening another window, it pops back to fit one screen.

What platform offers "Risk in $" before entering a trade?

TradingView is awesome! So you used the basic idea of their "long / short Position Tool" (I assume their Pine Script code is not open source) and had it coded for another platform? (Basically for MT4?) Thanks!

What platform offers "Risk in $" before entering a trade?

I'm looking for webbased platforms that calculate the risk / reward on entering an order with a stop and target. Oanda is doing great with fxTrade, but I need another broker with stock CFD's. Thanks!

    2014: The Battle for Survival

Come on, Neke! I wouldn't call 2,8% down "another bad month". There were times you made very bad decisions when things went against you. Seems like you stuck to your plan; so well done!

I can teach you to be profitable real quick.

There's a tendency lately for a few well known names on ET to show how tough they are... "I'm going to take yer money - Arrrrrrh!" :sneaky: You guys haven't go the size to do that. You're smart enough to know the traps, but you don't set them. You're good in riding waves, made by really big money.

    Chart background question?

Light, dark or gray themes; try to lower the contrast between your background and the candles & indicators. Force yourself to take breaks to rest and refocus your eyes.

    Forex and TA?

Big moves begin when fundamentals change. The more people join, the stronger and longer the trend will last. When there's little news, price moves only to fill the pockets of a few big players. Take NFP on friday as an example. Elitetrader is divided in TA lovers and haters, so expect anything...
