IB is a publicly traded company - IBKR. TS has been owned by Japanese firm Monex for several years now. The former stock symbol was TRAD. I know it is an old post but I am considering switching so I am reading up on it. Any feedback on how execution fills compare?

The newer ObjectOrientedEasyLanguage (OOEL) at TS is pretty nifty. It's too bad we can't use the platform with other brokers. I think NT can only be used with NT broker now BTW. If I can't duplicate my orders at the 2 brokers, I will probably shift more of my assets to IB for the coming year...

I wonder how safe it is to park some money at LiveVol if they are losing money?

TS messes up the 1099-Bs every year. One year they were 10 months late with my 1099 too. They just released new ones today and mine shows zero closed trades - not even close to reality. The charts are pretty and they have deep data (many years).

It is my understanding that the filing requirements for brokers and traders are different. Your IRS at work... :eek: I will be consulting my CPA again this year. P.S. My TradeStation 1099-B is late again this year. Still waiting... :mad:

TS has a newer "Portfolio Maestro" which is still not 100% reliable. TS is also 32-bit and mostly single-core. TS is working to improve. However, they are still behind both MC and AB in many ways.

I downloaded and installed TradeLink's "Install-Glean" but Avast! AV alerts it as containing the virus "Win32:Malware-gen." I am uninstalling it so I can't comment on it's usefulness. Has anyone else has this occur?

Changing one's vote would be fine with me. That is understandable, esp. as software and brokers go thru changes. But Swisstrader's 3 Multicharts endorsements on the same page is vote stuffing IMO. (Although he did lower some 5s in his latest review to 4s.) Once again, my opinion here is...
