Mulple brokers, multiple CME data fees?

If you go to two different movie theaters to see the same movie, you will have to pay twice - same principle. P.S. An extra $15 a month should not be a big deal to any serious trader.

    Index Futures broker reccomendations

I would like to try AMP but am concerned about their cyber-security. Last year customer accounts got hacked and the last time I checked, one of their webpages (testimonials) was hijacked by SuDoX...

Interactive Brokers intraday requirements for ES

"Sometimes" being the key word. I have an IB account. more risk = more reward less risk = less reward Everyone has different risk comfort levels, and there are different risks. I would rather hold $ at IB than somewhere like the former Vision Financial (now High Ridge) due to custodial risk, as...

Interactive Brokers intraday requirements for ES

Just because AMP offers $500/contract does not mean you have to lever up all the way. There are plenty of brokers offering 25% intraday of initial margin. For TradeStation today, that is $1237.50/contract. I regard that as middle-of-the-road leverage...

Warning signs before MF Global went under

There are many other factors discussed as well, but I have better things to do than argue with you over a trivial matter. You seem to know everything already anyway.

Warning signs before MF Global went under

That may be true, but reviews are relative to each other. With some company reviews, 70% recommend the CEO, an other one only 27% approve of the CEO. There are many other things too.

Warning signs before MF Global went under

Yes, I see it and appreciate your insight. :) That is higher than e*Trade leverage in 2007. Of course, rates now are so low - but rising. Another great place to gain insight into brokers that I found is glassdoor.com, where employees post their opinions. Many of the small brokers are not...

Warning signs before MF Global went under

TS has some problems to be sure, but I don't see where the 24:1 leverage you quote comes from... Much appreciated Humble Investor... :)

Warning signs before MF Global went under

Could you please provide some evidence? I do not see where TS is leveraged 24:1. Here is what I found: TS is owned by Monex, a company traded on the Tokyo exchange (MNXBF/TYO:8698). Monex has had its ups and downs for PnL. Today Morningstar shows Monex has leverage of 11.92. For comparison: IB...

Warning signs before MF Global went under

Up until running for President, Donald Trump was a longtime New York City Democrat working within the old Democrat Tammany Hall system. P.S. But I do not claim that Republicans are the party of virtue. I know better than that. If there is a political party of virtue, they are meeting in...

Tasty Works, $10 flat fee for option traders

Caveat: My trading style may not be your trading style. (It probably isn't...) With all the internet buzz I set up an acct. at TastyWorks, since a free test drive was unavailable. No sim mode is available for testing functionality of orders, etc. I made a few small RT trades to try it out...

Corporations may dodge billions in U.S. taxes through new loophole: experts

Yes, the complexity is horrible. Never fear, Congress gets their taxes done for free though. Plus they are exempt from insider trading.

Corporations may dodge billions in U.S. taxes through new loophole: experts

I understand that. But, if the US had such a great tax code for companies, why were so many doing tax inversions to move their tax homes out of the US? After all, they do get deductions. :D

Corporations may dodge billions in U.S. taxes through new loophole: experts

Before the tax cut, the US Corp. rate was the highest OECD rate in the world. Also, the U.S. tax rate was 16 percentage points higher than the worldwide average of 22.8 percent and a little more than 9 percentage points higher than the worldwide GDP-weighted average of 29.8 percent. Out of 173...

Option Commissions: Who is the best broker?

I just discovered them so I have not thoroughly investigated them yet. RH is certainly not the only broker to use PFOF. That is what "Smart" and "Intelligent" order routing at IB and TS also do is it not? I just put it out there as food for thought, not as a recommendation. As they are set up...

Option Commissions: Who is the best broker?

The brokerage landscape is changing. Here is one to keep an eye on for future developments. Robin Hood ($0.00 commissions) just started providing options trading services. Oh, only on a smart phone? Not so great for an active trader with fat fingers like me. :) API is coming in "the near...

Todays AMP Futures Webinar: Introduction to Sierra Chart 1/9/2018 3:30 cst
