Notice how the ES bounced @ 5451. On the next dip, bounced at 5456. The green box now defines "support" for this time, good until broken. Later, market dipped into the zone* at 5452.. that was a trading buy simply because it was in the "buy/support zone". THAT'S the type of info Price TA...

With simple TA tools, a trader can tell whether the market is buying or selling and know from where it shifted one to the other. What could be more important?? And yet people come up with all kind of nonsense to deflect that premise...??

Moving Averages work to a degree. The ones most followed are the 50 and 200 day. When they act as support/resistance, they are actionable.

If your bias/thinking is that "S/R fails often"... that is WRONG!! If they failed "often/usually" they would not be S/R, by definition.

In the short term, EVERY S/R indication is relevant. To make longer term plays, a trader has to "disregard counter moves which hopefully are short term and shallow". No science or observation to that.. just "hope and gut".. not the best way to trade.

Isn't it interesting... one Fed guy says, "no interest rate cuts for the rest of the year". Another Fed guy says, "should be a rate cut next week". What's a trader to do?? Personally, I think it would be best overall for Fed to do a big rate HIKE... and drain the $9T "excess liquidity"...
