No... you can put the odds in your favor by what you know and how you act. That may be an edge over some other trader not as smart as you, but that's not edge on the market. A genuine edge would be like insider info or front-running trades.

I think your entire notion is full of fallacies. Each trade is an independent event unto itself. I say, "catch as catch can".
