Do some future brokers take other side of order?

Well then... isn't it incumbent upon you teach them a lesson... to be a smart player and SHOVE IT UP THEIR COLLECTIVE BUTTS for fading your smart-ness?:D

How do US Index futures derive value if underlying index is closed overnight?

Yes... and based mostly upon the reaction to "overnight news/developments" which in the minds of players might affect price. That is... some positive news overnight from anywhere, and the futures likely to bid up.. vice versa for negative news.... Japan, China, Europe raised/cut rates...

The market is SO WRONG at this point

Your points are valid... but the market is irrational at times. I can imagine the markets continuing to rally on the expectation of interest rate cuts... and continue doing so until they think the final cut has been made. Perhaps that will be somewhere around 3.5-4% in the 10 yr.. IF that the...

US stocks: When bad new is good news/vice versa

"Rally on bad news"... is an important aspect of the market's "current psycho". This is precisely why a trader needs to know "Price TA"... in an environment like this, it's unwise to get bearish on the market until it "does something which is actually bearish". The market won't even possibly...

    Possible "Price TA inflection point"...

Possible double top... not likely THE BIG TOP, but perhaps for a corrective period. Some are calling "top" and for shorts. It would be tactically reasonable to play 18700 as a "pivot"... long above, flat or short below. FWIW...

Multiple 4k monitors, connectivity and stability

Nvidia video driver is "omnibus". Years ago they did drivers for individual cards. Today they do just one collective driver for all cards supported. At installation, the part of the omnibus which applies to your card is extracted and installed. Newer version of the driver will not likely...

Multiple 4k monitors, connectivity and stability

My trading rig is Dell Precision 5810 workstation (for which I paid $75* on eBay... LOL... video cards and monitors extra, of course), W10, P620, 4x, 4K monitors. Yes, I think you need DP v 1.4 to be assured of 4K res... The DP-mDP adaptors that come with P620 are OK for 4K. Otherwise you can...

Multiple 4k monitors, connectivity and stability

You've got the right video card to do this (P620... I have 3 of these installed in my machines). Be sure to install latest driver from NVDA website (not MSFT one), have proper HD cable (v1.4), and use Nvidia control panel for your setup and management... no other 3rd party software for that...

Jumped over to the Lenovo workstation world RIP Dell

Used to be mostly "some functions"... like ability to communicate with another CPU and generally would handle more RAM. Dell added Core iX a few years back and now even have some with Ryzen CPUs.

Jumped over to the Lenovo workstation world RIP Dell

My trading rig runs on Dell Precision 5810 for which I paid $75 on eBay. (Video card and monitors extra, of course.) I can buy a TON of burritos with the money I saved! :)

How Many Years of Positive Results?

I know what it's like to try to convince OPM to invest with you.... experienced that myself, years back. If I were to consider hiring you to manage my money today, I'd want to see audited performance from 2018 forward. Why so long? Because there were "huge dips", followed by big rallies...

Texas man indicted for failure to report crypto gains

The basic concepts of "Price TA" are as they have always been... "Buy Support Sell Resistance Chase Breakouts... both directions Trade with stops" But there are other challenges... mostly the ones between a trader's ears. "Get 'em mostly right"... and it's like finding money in the street...

Texas man indicted for failure to report crypto gains

Just like always. A low percentage "get it" and prosper. The rest are trying their best to figure it out.

Texas man indicted for failure to report crypto gains

No. Sort of like now. Mostly "hopers". :) Couldn't be "rich" traders... some of the Bid/Ask prices had zero contracts listed.

Texas man indicted for failure to report crypto gains

You can reference the DOM. It shows how many resting orders there are at various tics. Little if any slippage on a 100-lot order for the ES at most times. I can recall times when the Bid/Ask resting orders were in the thousands. (I can also recall the "early days", when the entire DOM of 10...

Texas man indicted for failure to report crypto gains

The volume in the NQ is much lower than the ES. If you're trading "size", you're almost forced to trade the ES. That is... if you wanted to trade a 100 lot in the NQ, you'd have to sweep lots of prices, with lots of slippage. You could do 100 lot in ES with zero-to-1 tick partial slippage.

Texas man indicted for failure to report crypto gains

The index value of the NQ is higher as is its "relative volatility". The NQ is $20/point = $360K/contract currently. The ES is $50/point = $250K/contract. They mostly move in tandem, though not at the same magnitude.

Texas man indicted for failure to report crypto gains

It's not that the ES is specifically "something great"... it's just the "general marketplace"... with lots of liquidity and comparative low "cost of transaction."
