If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

A reversed hinge. It is like stops get run at top and bottom slowly opening up the range. Sorry, I can not post a pic from this computer right now.

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

DB, Today I am seeing a bugel formation on the 30 min chart. Is there any insight you can offer on the market participation/bias that results in a bugel as opposed to a hinge? In your experience does one have different implications from the other, or do they both just show indecisiveness?

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

In review these are the areas that seemed to be higher probability entry areas on a 15 min chart to me today. I need to be able to stick to this methodology more closely, rather than getting excited about smaller ret's in non-prime areas as DB has suggested. Entry would be on a 1 min or...

DB, would this hit off of 75 around 11:34 be considered a valid short opp also?

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

Question for DB Like many traders I have a problem with getting involved in chop. I try to make some general rules of thumb for many aspects of trading for reference during the day when I start to lose focus. For chop, I have the following: 1. If there is not a long or short trade...

Yes, I meant it was still an obstacle to get back to 50. Sorry, I was not clear on that.

    Fib on NinjaTrader

Thanks oracle. I do not use fibs. I think they are garbage. I do like to take notice of 50% pullbacks though. That is all I use it for and would just like to get rid of all the excess. I can eyeball it about as well though.

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

Well, I read things wrong today. I took the 10:00 LH as a sign that we were not going to make a new high and started waiting for shorting ops. There was one about 10:09. I made a couple of other stabs short for a losing morning and quit. What I did not notice was that the pullback low at...

    Fib on NinjaTrader

I would like to have a default fib that shown only the 0, 50 and 100 % . When I change the settings and save as default, it never saves. Is there a way, or am I doing something incorrectly? Thanks,

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

I'm tired of laying tile this morning, need a new wet saw blade anyway. So, I drift back to trading thoughts. Right now, I'm thinking. "If someone asked me to summarize DB's approach in one sentence". What would I say? My first run at it would be: Trade the first pullback after...

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

This is my after the fact trade sheet for yesterday morning. Do these all appear to be DB acceptable trades? I would like to hear how others would have handled the triangle from 9:40-10:00 I am showing simple trendline breaks for exits and first pullback for entry, untill 4 swing points...

Did you hear about the trader who was so upset with his poor timing that he threw himself behind a train?

If You Can Draw A Straight Line . . .

Thanks for the reply. I did read the thread and I find that much of what you say is consistent with my own thoughts, though I have trouble staying in focus. I also tend to trade primarily pullbacks. I am often quite good at picking reversals, the initial breakout and what I call a...
