IMO ..... "unusual option activity" would have to be defined on a case by case basis AND an accurate underlying movement prediction made beforehand along with a profitable option position. :)

When it comes to options the $200 fee versus the $50 is a moot point. One trade will make that $150 back. :)

Strangles/Straddles are too expensive and it's rare for the underlying to move enough to get a profit. But the proof is in the pudding and you will have to wait till next earnings to get a definitive answer. Keep an eye on GOOGL (or any other stock) and see what happens. :)

The actual stock is irrelevant. Knowing the stock would just add all sorts of biased replies. :)

In Canada the smallest paper note is $5.00. We have 1 and 2 dollar coins. Pennies have been eliminated. All cash transactions are rounded to the nearest $0.05. Non-cash transactions still to the penny. Getting rid of the penny and 1-dollar note has been very successful. :)

There appears to be some inconsistencies. The bid/asks are out of whack and I see some Saturday and Sunday data, but the markets are closed on the weekends. :)

So your idea of "quality of order execution" is buying at the bid and selling at the ask? You will not get a penny discount on those options - the odd order might get filled but 95% of the time it will sit unfilled. :)
