Multi Processors computer are good for very CPU intensive program. e.g. database, computation... For trading, you need more memory than extra processor.

TS clears thru Bear Stearns. I would assume they will have a better short list than PointDirex. PD clears thru Southwest Securities which sucks in short list. Only bad about TS is no linking.

Birdie, Most online broker require you to have $30k to start. If you look at PointDirex or Tradestation, both require min $30k to start. Other option is to take a series 7 license and join a pro firm.
