    Options Trades For Capital Growth

Five trades; no loss yet! Account value is $5,248.04. Will check the account for profit/loss return later. Nothing much yet! Still experimenting with index options. There are two advantages in trading index options, which are small bid/ask spread and not having to search for trades. Apart from...

I won't recommend Put Options yet. The weekly chart favors uptrend, though the market may drop a little lower than last week's high, so I think it is dangerous to short QQQ. But then, my prognosis could be wrong. Please follow your trading rules. Thanks for posting!

STC 20 Contracts of QQQ March 18 2016 104 Call @ $1.92 I will not be available to monitor the trade, so I bailed. The index may continue the uptrend tomorrow, but will likely trade lower than today's close; that will be the right time to buy Call Options. I will try more index trades this...

Pekelo, I just checked the screenshot. I like what I saw. Buying 100+ contracts is my thing too. Whoa! I love your trading approach already! Thanks for sharing!

I think it is better we allow time to answer that question.

    Options Trades For Capital Growth

There are two factors involved in my trading approach. First, all index positions are initiated and closed during trading hours - no overnight position. That forestalls the possibility of a gap against the position. Second is that all non-index options that I may decide to hold for 2 trading...

    Options Trades For Capital Growth

You are correct! See, another unforeseen trading approach is evolving. I will not hold day-trading positions overnight, hence the need to purchase as many contracts as possible - of course within a reasonable risk profile. I have a trading approach that tells me if/when my market bias is wrong...

I look at the image below every now and then to stay focused. A goal driven man must have a good dose of pride, not arrogance, in himself or pursuits to achieve his goals.

    Options Trades For Capital Growth

Oh professionals! Who are they? Can they grow a shoestring budget to six digits? I 'm so independent minded and I dare say, with humility, that I am my own professional. If there is any trader I admired so much, it was Welles Wilder until he got himself involved with the Delta Phenomenon!

Yep! You got it, sir! I want to make a statement, though I have done that several times. I simply love GROWTH. Will send a lot of traders to this thread with time. I'm also considering Collective2 as another platform to showcase my results, but I hate the idea of trading with virtual funds...

    Options Trades For Capital Growth

Even if the current price is $10.00, I am not bothered by it. I will not hold any option trade for more than 2 trading days until the account hits $50K. At that point I will go for volatile stocks. Will focus on stocks with price range $20 - $45 for growing the initial capital outlay, so I may...

Thanks! I appreciate your comment! This is an important experiment to me. Hell will freeze over ten times before I could lose the capital outlay. I understand your premise, though.

I closed GLD position for $360.00 (Commissions included). I hate scalping, but I cannot pass up trading opportunities that show up during trading hours. Day trading is not my thing because I am experimenting my trading rules for capital growth, so please disregard any position posted on this...

Whoa! My partner and I just discussed about the traders' nightmare - gap up or down against positions held overnight! I agree completely with you! The stop loss applies only to the first trading day when position is initiated. Thank you for that comment, please keep a tab on this thread.
