Did you know IB commish is lower than Global Futures?!

OT, Obviously you're not churning hundreds of contracts per day as I do, because, I find your way of trading very risky and I’m not in this business to try and justify where the market should be heading according to my analysis. The way I trade, the market can do what it likes and frankly I...

Did you know IB commish is lower than Global Futures?!

There is a firm that I do not want to promote here since they clear with RCG which is the most brain dead firm around. Anyhow, they charge .35 per side which is .70 rt + 650 XT / 5000 = .83 / rt add 2.30 for all else and it comes to 3.13 rt Vs. IB at 3.68 the diff is .57 which is a humongous...

Did you know IB commish is lower than Global Futures?!

This is what is upsetting about IB, they make their comm. Structure so that between the 4 of us not 2 end p with the same results! Here’s how I reached my calc.: Cum. Tot. Comm. Cum Qty. Side Cum Tot. RT Qty. per Tier per side per RT Cum Comm. Side IB AVG. COM All In $ 360.00 300...

Did you know IB commish is lower than Global Futures?!

What is important is the average cost of course. Then to bring the IB cost down to $1 per RT(which is what others offer with min. a few hundred trades only) will have to do 13,000 RT's with IB!!! Then at 13 k rt, one could get much lower comms from others too. My comfort level is say 5,000...

Did you know IB commish is lower than Global Futures?!

Has IB recently reduced comms.? Or am I reading them wrongly? Based on my calcs., IB up to 2000 contracts a month turns out to be 14 cents lower that GF!!! Up to 3000 will be higher by only .08 but worth every cent of it due universal account etc. Not to mention, less than 300 would be lower...

Why so many amateur traders trade only against the main trend?

So true, an excellent observation and we have all been there if still not stuck there... The market efficiency, causes it to move in waves as do snakes... hence, it is not wrong to believe a Top or a Bottom has been reached at any point if, and only if one would time it's temporary exhaustion...

After IndyMac's failure, which bank could be next?

Shouldn't Fed. as a Band Aid cure, NOT allow shorting of the Bank's and other Financial institutes? As in when one couldn't short on a down tick and now on bigger scale, NO shorting allowed on a Down Hill free fall Share? Like anytime a share tumbles beyond a certain momentum etc.?

rumor - large bank contacted the FED

For those with real money in the banks, this was a real question and the answer is: To check the banks quarterly results. By examining banks' ratios of defaulting loans to total outstanding loans and to reserves and stock -- two measures of a bank's health.....
