    Calendar Spreads

Depending on how far you think the stock will drop and when, you might consider the Jan/Feb 135P at a debit of $2 (assumes a 10% drop). If the stock drops and stays above $135 at Jan exp, it would be a sweet trade. Just sell the Feb call and treat yourself to dinner or hold it if you feel the...

    4x Made Easy© ?

Today looked like a good day to get blindsided. I've gone to a few of the seminars, and I don't recall any of the presenters ever suggesting the use of stops.

    Daytrading with 10K (How)?

What a jerk. Creative sense of cynical dry wit, but still a jerk.

Only if you are a succesfull trader

OK, I'll cut you a break. I make 100+ pips a month using low leverage, because it cuts both ways. Find indicators you are comfortable with and trust them.

    Trading Magazines ?

Catching a plane tomorrow to visit the in-laws. Not much to do other than eat and watch TV - although they do have a computer with a celeron chip on dial-up. Gathering magazines to keep the mind occupied during the week. Got 3 SFO's, 5 Futures and some trade mags. Hope it's enough. Anyone...

Forex Trading & becoming a hedge fund manager

FXCM had an offer on their site that after 6 months live trading they would consider having you trade institutional money with some degree of additional training. I know it's more involved than this. I believe they still have the program but it is not on their site anymore.

    Calendar Spreads

Here's a Cal strategy I'm considering. I'm looking at MATK (thanks JD) which is in a l/t downtrend. It closed Friday at $26.37. I'm thinking of selling the DEC 20P @ .30 and buying the JAN 20P for .55 (today's prices) for a net debit of .25. The thought is if MATK continues it's...

    SPX Credit Spread Trader

OH REALLY? WHICH CAMP ARE YOU IN? I've been monitoring this thread from the beginning and have noticed your questions from time to time appear to be coming from someone that not only is new to trading, but also tends to trade scared. And that's ok, except when you make a statement that...

    Calendar Spreads

Yes, a speck of light is coming through. Makes sense especially since the vol on the put side tends to be higher than the call side. How far from expiration do you place your typical position?

    Calendar Spreads

Interesting. I've been doing calenders after reading Greg Donio's writings on them. He recommends OOM calenders with a debit of $1.25 or less. He also says not to let the spread go into the money. It's directional, but I've had some success with them. I've been using individual stocks but I...

    Forex day trading

LOL. Good reply Rick. Thanks for the wake up. Question... I noticed your screen showed USD/CHF with a 1 minute screen. Personally I've been trading EUR/USD with a 1 hour screen and two SMA. Doesn't the 1 minute drive you crazy? I tried it and backed away. I use 5 min to see s/t trends.
