    Using Oz Scans

Real-time testing will do the same thing and will be a lot more accurate for the discretion of the INDIVIDUAL trading system. For example, my trading record shows good returns trading off these scans (these are real numbers in dollars and cents and not hypothetical numbers based on software...

    Using Oz Scans

JJ, I took a short off a New Kid on the Block scan on Friday. The scan is normally used for long positions. Now, how do you suggest I backtest for that? I guess what I'm trying to say is that you guys who like to backtest are completely missing the point of the scanner. As Dave said in...

    Using Oz Scans

On Friday, I was recording demo trading on a newer version of RealTick for my presentation at Day Traders USA on Saturday (can't trade on that version yet). I had a dentist appointment at 8:45, so I didn't take positions in my trading account. Regardless, I was testing the new Oz Scanner...

    Mr Subliminal's Remote Trading Journal

Absolutely priceless piece. Not much has changed over the years. I don't know who the original person who said it, but I remember my dad often saying that "sucker is a breed that does not die. It just keeps on reincarnating itself."

If you don't make it as a trader, you would definitely make it as an entertainer. Consequently, you have a hedge. And with this kind of humor and writing style, I'd say you have an edge :) Maybe ET should have a forum titled "Traders' Comedy Relief" where we can find threads like this one...

I took the following Sky Scraper trades while at the Market Wise booth. I don't mormally trade NYSE, but I made an exception today :) Tony

And they couldn't say that before the huge tankage? Sounds like more class action suits to me.

I wonder what is more likely to happen. Take $100 chip and put it on number 7 on the roulette table. If it hits, let it ride. If it hits again, let it ride. If it hits again cash out. Or is it more likely that CMRC will hit the 1000 price target that was given to it a couple of years ago...

Since I will also be there, just give me your money and I will WISELY gamble it for you :) I am a graduate of the Casinowise gambling school :) That is, after I have given them enough of my hard-earned money, I wisely say thank you, but I had enough. Rumor says that there are better places to...

    QQQ heading for 9-11 levels?

Yes it is, but the smart money will short the crap out of the market on any rally. My prediction (I'm using my backup crystal bowl, because my good one broke while moving) is: Bounce at 1120-1140 NDX 28.00-28.50 QQQ rally tops at 1180-1220 NDX 29.50-30.50. Then a test of september lows...

    QQQ heading for 9-11 levels?

Okay let me try 1140 NDX short term bounce and the New York Yankees will win the Superbowl next year. And I think that the Lakers will win the Stanley Cup!

    QQQ heading for 9-11 levels?

lol, that's a good one Gene. That's exactly what happened to me yesterday while holding 70,000 QQQ long. Thank God I sold it!

Dat, I find your entire post to be a class act! Very well written! And the above quote is all that should really matter. There is no one else on this thread trading real money live in front of everyone on a weekly basis for free.

Can anyone tell me what has changed over the last three days to warrant almost a 50% rise (from 15.25 to 22) in TYC share price?

You got squeezed! I personally don't short the breakdowns. I like to short the rally after that. In my experience, the squeeze bounces can be very painful on individual stocks. QCOM kept teaching me this lesson over and over again.

I always tell those who are interested in using the scanner to try it out on paper for at least 6 months. No back testing, but realtime testing. See for yourself if using the scanner will improve your bottom line or not. At $20.00 a month one good trade can pay for a lifetime subscription...

    Using Oz Scans

Actually, these are alert trigger event and not entry points. Chapter 7 in my book covers the entry points based on the intraday chart. So the alert trigger point is based on the daily chart. Then I base my entries on support and resistance of the intraday chart. For instance, shorting...

    Using Oz Scans

Right now, I feel that the scanner gives you/me "just enough" stocks to look at. I could potentially program a ton of filters into it, but I will potentially miss some great setups. I'd rather see as many as come up right now than miss some. I rather use my eyes as the discretionary final...

    Best and Worst CNBC Commercials

I believe it was C/Net with the kid going on the bus and later learning sign language. It was the way it was shot. The first time I watched it I thought it was a movie. The camera angles and the music made it look like a movie. Anyhow, I bought the stock because of it and cleaned out :) So...
