Peter Brandt "Diary of a Professional Commodity Trader" if you're into daily/weekly chart patterns. He's a legit swing trader with an audited track record.

    When to rollover ES ?

This is actually an interesting question. https://www.cmegroup.com/trading/equity-index/rolldates.html CME always has the official E-mini roll date as Thursday, but generally the volume for the next contract (Dec) will be relatively thin on Thursday. I consider the "true" roll date to be...

    Stuck Limit Up?

OP could be right about limit orders getting rejected. From what I remember a couple years ago when I got stuck in lumber limit up, all my market AND limit orders at the bid got rejected (I admit my memory could be off about the limit orders but I believe that's what happened).

    Stuck Limit Up?

Looks like it started trading again. Did you get out? I got burned shorting lumber after it went limit up for a couple days in 2017. Pretty much quit trading it after that.

    CME Chicago Test IPs?

Yes, my apologies, I meant CQG's Chicago server. CQG actually lists all of their server IP addresses here: http://www.cqgtrader.com/SCHelp/CQG/6.01/en-us/default.htm#!WordDocuments/technicalspecifications.htm

    CME Chicago Test IPs?

IP addresses to CME will be broker specific I think. Are you selling VPSs? I used to pay $80 a month for a VPS that pinged sub 1ms to CME in Chicago. Currently I pay $12 a month for a cheapo one that does ~3ms to CME since I have moved to trading over a longer time frame now.

Tell me why I can't grow my account to $1M in 12 years

Your point is well taken that managing millions is a different ballgame. However, this point has been overstated on this forum ad nauseam. You gambled your $1000 account on earnings one time and made 1000%. So what? That's not a sustainable trading system. You just got lucky. Let's pick a...

    Adventures in Automation

I feel your pain man. Sometimes the market is just too wild. For example, my current NQ system barely makes any money in the back test on last Dec 23 and 24 even though those were huge moves down. The price action during those two days was simply unique and anomalous.

    Confidence Shattered in NT 8

Have you tried deleting db\cache on both installs? Both NT 7 and 8 have problems with the cache corrupting itself on a regular basis. Might also want to check that you're using the same session (trading hours) on both backtests. I know that NT8's holiday calendar was messed up last year, not...

I took a loss today on my NQ system too :( Could be a bumpy August with this new tariff.

Anyone tried Genetic Sytem Builder software?

I played with this over the weekend a little bit. It's promising, but it has a fatal flaw at the moment. You're only allowed to optimize based on the "Max Strength" fitness function. Unfortunately, this fitness function very often will choose strategies that are only 1 trade with 0 drawdown...

Why did Paul Tudor Jones fight so hard to suppress this video?

I'd lean towards #1. He probably doesn't like how he looks/talks/etc in it and would rather people not see it. It's a good watch though. I enjoyed it.

Bitcoin future (BRR) at IB, 200,000 USD margin requirement?

It would be nice if the CME contract was 1 Bitcoin instead of 5. Then we could at least daytrade a smaller notional amount without having to open an account at one of the shitty Bitcoin exchanges. Mainly, I'd like to be able to trade Bitcoin using the same interface that I use to trade other...
