This is only a matter of opinion of course, but my experience has shown that sitting in front of the screen and starring does not give you magical powers or give you enough natural (intuitive) skills to trade with. You must have a method that you are comfortable implementing.
I understand that...
In my opinion, it takes 3-5 years in real trading and screen experience to have a grasp of any given method.
Paper trading is too limited in scope, psychology, and execution.
@stefan416 Another consideration for your futures trading needs is QST. Not a platform that is much discussed in forums, never the less, rock solid and used by many FCMs in Chicago. If you need options windows, they provide one of the betters ones. We have a demo with Rithmic, but you can...
Thank you!(?) The article is educational and was done with the assistance of someone who knows volume profile well. It would help beginners grasp basic volume profiles.
In my opinion, VolumeProfile strategies are appropriate for discretion type trading and very hard to backtest with automation. It's a manual process of going back and checking sets of data and conditions. Needless to say, Volume Profile risk management is one of the hardest things to master...
I am not sure if you trade futures, but here are some alternatives in lieu of the platforms that you have mentioned. If you are looking to change methods of executions, we can provide Multicharts free of charge. In fact, since you like Sierra and consider them as well, we can provide one...

This is exactly what I advise my customers who are day traders. Very good input. The Financial may not have as many surprises on expirations as the physicals have. Oil, gold, grains, etc. As you soon you see a shift in Vol, change contracts.

You are welcome. I would try to focus on those traders who have 7+ years of active and continuous experience. Just like marriage, if you endured seven years + of pleasure/pain, you may have some valuable input.

The business model of MetaTrader software is to charge the broker for a number of licenses they get and the hosting for those machines. So its free to the user, not the brokerage itself.
MT4 is not being discontinued rather there there will no more upgrades...

You should see "Display" then "Set up computer to use multiple monitors". Try and reset it.
