its mini because $1000 per full point is twice as big as QM at $500 per full point. Its nothing to do with tick value.

if you're talking about tick value, you should be looking at the DAX (€25 full tick) which is also a volatile beast, or the BUXL (€20 tick, illiquid) both on eurex. I'm surprised you think the Bobl gives more "pop" as its a five year and therefore less "poppy" than the bund which is 10yr...
