I thought there was a trader by that name in a prop firm in buckhead. I think the name of the prop was ETG.

I use 1 min charts they work fine for me.

I learned that scalping definately fits my trading stype and personality.

Not much if you use IB or another per share comm system. I scalp equities so with IB .01 of any move goes to commison up to 2000 shares.

With proper money management and an intraday time period you can scalp small correction moves from overextended conditions.

AMEN!! :D I used to laugh my ass off when he would recommend a stock and then you see the after hours market take off like .50 or $1.00 You would be banking if you knew what stocks he was going to recommend and then put in some outrageous orders after hours for the other guys to chase after.

Very good strategy especially if your commision is low. I usually open a small position after all of the momentum guys rush into a stock when it breaks a new high. Then start adding to the position at about .10 increments IF volume on the up periods tapers off and increases on the down ones and...

Did anyone else have problems getting AMGN quotes on IB statring at around 2pm today? They just stopped on IB but another service i was using was still giving accurate data. Just wondering

So what are you going to do if there is a bear market? Hope your not trying to limit yourself to just longs.

Thanks, you have to have a written set of rules or you cant make it as a traded. I have them typed out and up on one of my screens. I go over them every day before I trade and then check them off in my head before and during a trade.
