I didnt fade the open but I opened a small short position on the SPY's at 12:30 when it broke back below 140 and covered it at 139.85 at 1:05 after it failed to get any selling behind it. Going to wait and see what it does arond the 140 level again.

I do tech support after 4 till 9. Full week with the weekends off and full benefits. Most of the time its so slow i look at charts anyway so its not a bad backup if things arent going well during a month.

From what I read you cant daytrade. All orders are filled at the end of the day. If you place a buy and then a sell i think the sell will get rejected because you dont own the shares yet.

From what ive seen systems that are based on setups and a little bit of discretion last much much longer than those that depend strictly on "signals" to initiate trades.

I would not short it right here, looks like some accumulation took place as it was falling the last couple of days (maybe some short covering) From what im looking at it seems like its due for another small bounce within the next few days, see what that bounce looks like when its over.

I had similar issues as you did with my cancel requests "freezing" but this was during the day. It cost me a shit ton of money too and I only won one trade dispute against them and that was for a couple of hundred to recoup the losses because it took them 30 min to cancel my order. Hate to say...
