This is not a stable Market

Pretty soon there won't be any more middle class or even upper class. Just the ultra-rich and then the rest of us, and the rest of us are going to just keep paying more for everything we need until we are all in basically the same shape, broke. And then people will all wake up and think, what...

This is not a stable Market

Also, What the Hell is wrong with this picture. This sold for 5.5 million in 2007 at Barrett-Jackson Auction. I don't give a crap if there was only one made in the history of man kind. Things can only get so "krazy" before the craziness has to end.

This is not a stable Market

Yea, your right. They are probably doing much worse than the graph. Most people put their money into their 401k and just pick the first 4 or 5 funds on the list that seam to be doing the best and then don't touch it until it goes bad for a while. Then they move it to other funds that are...

This is not a stable Market

Of course this was not a stable market either. Great to trade but how would you like to have your 401k in that market. 25 years and a negative gain!

This is not a stable Market

I don't see any stability going forward. Looks like a sling shot on steroids. Right shoulder at about 11500 to 12000 and neckline about 7000 and then on down to 3000 or lower.

What Happnes when we see 9 or 10 percent mortgage rates

Looks just like a chart of the Nikkei index. Amazing similarity.

    Long stock long more gold

Gold is not for the faint of heart, however all bull markets end with some kind of a blow off top. Gold in 1980 was a blow off top as was the Nasdaq in 2000 along with the Nikkei in 1990. I don't see anything like that in gold now and I don't see the printing presses slowing down anytime soon.

    gdx is not keepin up

That's probably not a bad idea. When gold is making new highs and GDX is not, then that should tell you something. The only problem with that is that there is always the chance that gold goes parabolic like it did in the 80's which would take GDX for a ride also.

Aren't we sitting on a gold mine?

They are probably going to need it at some point to support the dollar if foreign governments decide to completely dump their dollars and US treasuries. At that point the US does not have nearly enough gold.

    gdx is not keepin up

There is more perceived risk with anything paper than the actual metal. You have to own the metal. The stocks that make up gdx can easily be manipulated but the actual metal has real supply and demand. Metal futures can be sold by anyone or bank or fed trying to make the dollar look good, by...

Aren't we sitting on a gold mine?

The US would get full price for their gold cache without blinking an eye (if they actually have it). There are several governments that are trying to increase their gold reserves right now without driving the price up too high too fast and would love to be able to buy this amount in one fail...

    death of the american empire

You are thinking way to small and way to short of a time frame. We (as in the whole world) are entering into a new "dark ages" period that could last 500 years. This little bear market rally shouldn't even be talked about until we take out the old highs. The stock casinos (er markets) around the...

What recession? Nine U.S. banks pay $32.6b bonus New York (PTI): They survived the financial turmoil with taxpayers’ money, still nine leading U.S. banks shelled out more than $32 billion in bonus to their employees last year, with crisis-ridden Citigroup alone paying $5.3 billion...
