    The EV transition is real

There are a couple ways to read this. On the supply side, the price of EVs is dropping faster than ICE, because of lower materials cost (batteries) and competition between EV makers. It's a new industry and thus expected while ICE have been around long enough to operate on low margins. It thus...

West Virginia has a Decision to Make

I pinned this article here not because I care what happens in West Virginia, because I don't at all, but because I think it's important to abide by the democratic process, regardless of outcome. I don't shy away from voicing my opinions as I've been a strong advocate for green energies and EVs...

    Schwab Down

Both TOS PC and app are down. Schwab's integration is awful. I rarely had an issue with TDA but now I frequently cannot sign in the app and the install update is frozen. Time to seriously consider an alternative.

    Life after 50

When I raised my kid I went out of my way to no give him any sodas, ever. Told parents at parties he gets violently sick if he drinks it... Now 18, he doesn't drink sodas although he tolerates beer.

Israeli military approves plan for ‘offensive’ in Lebanon

I keep answering it, you just don't seem to comprehend the answer. Lebanon is a fragile nation composed of heavily armed, diverse religious groups. Power sharing is froth with extensive politicking to prevent internal clashes. One of these groups is Shiite Hezbollah, the more powerful of the...

Israeli military approves plan for ‘offensive’ in Lebanon

If you have a hypothesis, why don't you just come out with it instead of waiting for me to find it. Hezbollah is a Shiite Muslim terror group financed and armed by Iran, without which they'd just be a 32% section of a very diverse religious population in Lebanon. It's a shame that Iran, and...

Yeah, smoking is stupid. So glad I've kept my 18 year old from taking that route. Being in Singapore helped.

    Life after 50

Diet Coke is the worst, the sweetener is known to be cancer causing. Even regular coke would be better. Have you tried shifting to another type of soda? Like soda with lime juice? Really good! Btw, I quit drinking Diet Coke in my mid 20s when I realized I was drinking a 6 pack a day...

Israeli military approves plan for ‘offensive’ in Lebanon

As far as I'm concerned, Hamas or Hezbollah aren't fighting for Palestinian rights or land. They are fighting to eradicate Israel out of what they believe is Muslim land, from the river to the sea. There are many more Muslims in the world than there are Jews and, today, individual voices can be...

Israeli military approves plan for ‘offensive’ in Lebanon

All situations that lead to open violence are complex and full of unknowns that we learn about sometimes decades later, and history is written by the victors. As a bystander I make my own opinion of what I understand, subject to change when and if the information changes... A bit like trading, no?

    The EV transition is real

I wouldn't characterize it like that. Anything we do to create energy to power our lives has a cost on something. Extraction has a cost, but oil and coal have additional costs that have been proven to negatively impact the environment and human health, so I choose the lesser evil.
