do you know how to deal with this situation...

Whenever I take hits and am feeling uncertain, I scale back significantly. Sometimes it's about trading just 100 shares to get it in motion. Do that until you don't care too much about the result. As mentioned, journal the process and continue to identify high probability trades.

The journal of steady, dull and uninteresting trading

26th Full day of trading. System went down while I had 3 positions on. Support was slow to respond. I am thinking it is time to shift to another platform. Got the scanner program. Needs tweaks. It is good at finding some decent ideas. My biggest problem is not holding positions longer...

The journal of steady, dull and uninteresting trading

25th Full day of trading. Been holding ideas more. Letting stocks breathe. I will invest in a chart/scanner program to find potential setups I like during the day. My ideas are good, the overall execution and trade management needs work. Some slight adjustments could make a big difference...

The journal of steady, dull and uninteresting trading

24th Full day of trading. I have to commit to trades and take a longer view. The chop is real. Earnings season is coming up. I need to be in tip top shape and ready mode. Edit: reviewed charts and haven't found any I really like. We'll see what's on the gap list tomorrow.

23rd Full Day of Trading. Making my broker fall in love with me, with all the volume I do. Saw on a thread about Alaric trader. I may look into an account with them. I have not been able to get any decent trades to hold for moves in a while. I may be too tight on some of the stuff. Been...

ALARIC Trader: The Real Deal? PDT? Reliability ?

Looks intriguing. I would also be interested to know if anyone uses them.

    Anyone trading crypto full-time?

I will soon start trading. Not sure what full time would mean as it is 24/7. It wouldn't be my main priority but I do think there is some opportunity.

    time & sales

That's really odd. I've never seen NBBO logged in TAS. What platform are you using? It's really pointless for quotes to be logged as a big portion is fake/cancels.

    time & sales

The time and sales shows all the transactions. It doesn't show any bids or offers. The level II shows bids and offers. Can you provide a screenshot?

The journal of steady, dull and uninteresting trading

22nd Full day of trading. Going into today I was negative on the week...albeit relatively minor. My goal was to get back into the green. Goal accomplished. More importantly, I learned a valuable lesson about information overload. By having less on my screens, I felt more relaxed and could...

The journal of steady, dull and uninteresting trading

21st Full day of trading. I had been adding tools and screens...which have served to only distract. This afternoon I culled a lot of it. Adios. Go back to simpler times.

20th Full day of trading. Flat day. Gave back some gains. Not impressed. Small base hits tomorrow. Bunt singles. Walks even. I'll take a hit by pitch (no beanballs). Branching out to bigger names over $100. There are opportunities there. We'll see. Why, oh why LK did you have to be halted...

The journal of steady, dull and uninteresting trading

19th Full day of trading. Got the putty, works amazing. Bought a gamer chair. I didn't know these chairs existed until last week. Now it needs to pay for itself. Slower day today. I'd rather eek out gains than have massive swings. Maybe in the future. Looking at setting up another platform...

The journal of steady, dull and uninteresting trading

18th Full day of trading. Small goal + serenity was the plan for today. Traded the exact same volume as yesterday. Wild. The gross was $1 off from yesterday. Deja-vu? I need to look more at the big caps. I nearly traded TSLA which would have worked. Take the weekend to refresh. I get a...

Grinding the account. Grind grind grind. Not pleased with the results. Due to high activity am churning a lot of fees. Will have to discuss with account provider. Maybe switch. Pretty sure I bought the high on LK. That was fun. Tomorrow will be about - serenity.

The journal of steady, dull and uninteresting trading

16th Full day of Trading. I quit. Ergo. 4/1. Highest vol trading day yet. I feel like a fund may have blown up on CCL. Maybe it will come out in the news. Trading larger size, getting more comfortable with it. I've realized I need to go through this period of taking bigger size, make poor...

The journal of steady, dull and uninteresting trading

15th Full day of Trading. Some tech issues off the start. Not overly sharp today. Trading is a lot of work sometimes. Tomorrow is a new day to work at it. Need to pick my spots better.

The journal of steady, dull and uninteresting trading

14th Full day of Trading. Had the weekend to get my mind a little clearer. Read Nicolas Darvas' book. The main point I got out of it was to filter out all the noise and observe for yourself price action. That really is what I do best when trading well. I observe order flow and made decisions...

The journal of steady, dull and uninteresting trading

13th Full day of Trading. Unlucky 13 it seems. Relatively small loss which is good. It's the big losses that really bite. A weekend break is necessary to regroup and come back on Monday fresh. A couple trading books arrived in the mail today, I shall dig into them.
