Just out of curiousity Keeper, when a member says "Long @ 1446".... does that mean, you are not in the market until it hit's 1446 and then from this point on you go long? or does it mean, you are already in the market until it reaches 1446?

I've always thought about using this strategy.... I don't see how it wouldn't work all the time. I guess my next question would be, right before the FOMC announcement is made... do they normally jack up option spreads on SPY due to the "potential" volatility?

GREAT OSORICO! WE NEED MORE GUYS LIKE THESE... It's hard to determine at times what members are actually saying... Some would say, volume looks like it's going down... but what's important is that if this member is clearly convinced and confident enough to put his prediction on the line...

Can you please elaborate a little when you said, institutions can't because of the law... what does the law say and when you say institutions...are you talking about fund managers, commericals, licensed brokers etc? I'm assuming you're saying that they can't jump in and out of the market, but...

why mutual fund managers lose 90 percent of the time?

(i should have stated fully managed funds to begin with instead of mutual funds) I guess if I can take back my question and direct it to a small investor versus a funds manager who fully manages your investment... i would think that these fund managers have a better understanding as to when...

why mutual fund managers lose 90 percent of the time?
