Tradeworx' defense of their HFT strategies

That was an excellent letter. It was a very clear explanation of what HFT is all about.

    CL Redux

Did CL just spike up 160 ticks in one minute? I doubt it but just want to make sure. I was having trouble with my QT charts not backfilling so I cleared the chart data and then backfilled again. That's when I saw the spike. Here is the pic:

**Huge Problem with Orders** in IB

Yes the issue has been resolved. I wish I didn't have to create this thread to get it resolved though. Thanks DAV.

**Huge Problem with Orders** in IB

Here is another one from today. I have like 30 screenshots like these. I've been a loyal IB customer for years. I'm not trying to bad mouth them or ruin their reputation. But they ignored a serious issue for a long time so I had no choice but to create this thread to see if I was the only...

**Huge Problem with Orders** in IB

I've been having this issue all month. I use bracket order to trade futures on NYMEX. And for some reason whenever I get filled on my opening order, my profit target limit order does not work. I see the order status as light blue and sometimes pale purple in TWS. Stop orders seem to work...

    Button Trader

I would hate to trade without ButtonTrader. Its the fastest way to trade for a scalper. And the risk management tools are extremely helpful in limiting risk. BT isn't perfect though - it hasn't changed much over time. And most of the changes in BT are related to just keeping up with IB...

Stop losses. Are they the tools of winners or losers?

The majority of traders use stops whenever they feel like and and honor stops whenever they feel like it - there is no discipline. Using stops is not always necessary. If you are only trading 10% of your net worth and you have a portfolio that is extremely diversified then you don't need...

Stop losses. Are they the tools of winners or losers?

If you use a stop and you honor it then it means you know the risk on the trade and you embrace the risk on the trade. With that knowledge of risk and acceptance of risk - you can let the trade go. Now you are detached from the result of the trade and so you can trade with lot more confidence...
