    Bond rally nearing an end?

I was just reading over at briefing that all the big players are really short volatility in the futures options market on the ten year. How likely is it that this is an outright position? Are they off-setting this risk with a position in exotics? Perhaps it is a hedge for a dispersion trade in...

Other sites you may want to check out; www.robtv.com You can watch segments from throughout the day. Lots of good stuff if you don't mind the Canadian angle. www.reuters.com Again more segments to be watched at you leisure. If you get sick of the bloomberg music it doesn't hurt to...

    IB - demo account realism?

It really depends on what you are trading. If you look at you fills and see if at any point you were the ask gets to the level of your buy limit order or the bid gets to the level of your sell limit order then you can count on getting the same fills with live trading. If you are testing any...

The thread "biggest market cap in 2020" has "sponsored ads by google" in the last post and was slow to load. I am worried that it could be something uncouth

    Senate Reform in Canada

We as Canadians must come out against senate reform. Senate reform has many disadvantages, let me outline a few - An elected senate will have a political mandate, creating grid lock in government. -An elected senate without a referendum making it a constitutional change weakens the weight...

    $ Silver $

I was just looking at the chart of gold versus silver over at cbot: http://www.cbot.com/cbot/pub/page1/0,,447%20ZGZ06-ZIZ06%202268,00.html?symb=FF&month=1!&year=&period=W&study=&study0=&study1=&study2=&study3=&bartype=Bar&bardensity=LOW It looks to me that all the ETF buying of silver has...

In the year 2020, which corporation will have the highest market cap. in the world?

I find the pick of google very interesting. To me unless google merges with another company with more durable assets (think AOL/time warner) I think it will go to zero in the long run. Someday someone is going to come up with a better way of searching and a better way of getting paid for it...

I need to execute 6.3 mil soon on EUR/USD, will this be a problem?

Okay your turn I have a limit order to sell ZN at 107'065. Should I keep it or cancel it? Also what broker are you using for your FX transaction? If you use one of those dodgy bucket shop FX only brokers it could be scary.

I need to execute 6.3 mil soon on EUR/USD, will this be a problem?

Right now on IB's ideal pro sysytem there is a spread of 1 pip on EUR/USD and both the bid and ask are over €10,000,000. 6 mil should be no problem.

    USD/JPY drop at 9:00 GMT, 7th sept.

Common FX strategies include round number reversals and the Asian range breakout. This mean that once a pair trades outside of its Asian range all the traders in London pile on in that direction. Phil Newton has a website http://www.trading-strategies.info. Check it out he does a good job of...

    Robusta Coffee

I was just looking at the Liffe robusta contract and was looking at the inverted futures curve, that is the near in contracts are worth more than the further out contracts. This means that it does not pay to store coffee. It would seem to me from what I know about grain markets that this is a...

    Night Options Trading

Be sure to check out all the big Eurex futures contracts (bund, dax etc.) the options on these futures trade big volume with tight spreads. I'm not a big fan of LIFFE contracts, the charts look good but the volume is very chunky and I find them hard to trade.

    Go Futures

Yes I know what your thinking $0.99 plus plus plus. I keep looking for the "fine print" but can't find it. And so what if it adds up to $3 and they have the products I want. An even bigger worry is that commissions are $0.99 and they make money by scalping your order. Are there ant other...

    Go Futures

Has anyone ever dealt with Go Futures? I did a search but nothing related to a brokerage firm came up as the words are too general.
