Hey John, FWIW, I have gotten good results combining one volatility indicator plus one moving average indicator plus one momentum indicator. They complement each other in allowing one to determine when to enter a trade and what entry and stop-loss and target prices to use.

Prefer EMAs as well, especially medium-term (~ 30 - 80 period) EMAs. My preference is to color-code them as blue when slope is up and red when slope is down. Then only take entry signals determined using other methods when the new trade would be consistent with the EMA, i.e., only accept long...

Hey there mute9003, taowave's advice in post #20 was very good. From the chart you posted with labels in post #4 it looks like you trade Heiken Ashi charts using breakouts beyond resistance and support. Best thing to do is scroll back to a past date and then start moving the chart forward one...

Hi Aisone, What do you consider to be the best way to use ROC... only take buy signals when it's above zero and only sells when it's below... or is there a divergence aspect to it whereby price might be going up but ROC is going down?
